    Liverpool saying it's before the World Cup or never makes this sound good. However if he's still here after the World Cup I'll still be a) crapping myself that they're really still after him all summer, and b) worried he's not happy here.

    Our refusal can be for one of two reasons: 1) money is not enough and we hope we'll get more after the WC or 2) we really do want to wait for the new manager and may try and keep him. I like either scenario.

    It's also possible that Liverpool were just too pushy and got our backs up...though you do need a backbone for that.

    They will improve their offer after the World Cup no doubt, lets just hope with the right manager in charge and new additions he can turn Adams head back the other way......

    The board has to start interviewing managers soon...wouldn't look good to have lost Adam as well as Lambert. To misquote Charlie's Aunt: To lose one parent is a misfortune; to lose two smacks of carelessness.
