All I can say is there are options so if Southampton accept (and they should bite our arm off) then they are really ready to sell all and sundry. I would think that they should hold and see who else steps in frankly as wc is the only reason to do it fast this weekend Again 25 mil is 10 mil over his value
He's better than a 15mil player imo - 20mil is about right, but being English and all that then you'd expect an inflation to £25mil. I'd be happy with paying 25mil personally. I just think he's the perfect fit to our system, so it's fairly risk free.
When does any player go for their 'actual value' in the Prem these days though? It's all hyper inflated. Am alright with 25 mill, unless he nosedives in which case I'll be out to shave his hipster beard off with bit of brick.
Rodgers mentioned wanting 6 players in. According to the media deals for Lambert, Lallana, Lovren and Can are close, with a bid made for Moreno and a fair possibility of Vorm. If these all happen early it will be great work but the rest of the summer will be a bit boring. I feel bit skeptical about Emre Can though. Just a gut feeling.
true but much better than not doing it early and signing duffs like Diouf Dioew (cant remember how he was spelt lol) etc as they had a good tournament, also more time to gel in new club. i would rather the boring bit to be honest as we know what we have to work with in training etc. and have time to change if need be.
That would be decent... think we'll wait and see what happens/who performs at the World Cup too so could be some business after the tourney. Usual faces will shine as always but there are always a couple of layers who put themselves on the radar of the big clubs there.
I do too - but the more I read about him the more I want him to sign. He's a bit rough round the edges still, but could well be absolute class once these are ironed out, and we know our manager/coaches are fine example of being able to do this - so potentially a very very good signing. He's 20 and has plenty of time to learn his trade the Liverpool way, my gut tells me he'll end up an excellent signing. I forgot what the transfer fee being reported is? Anyone care to jog my memory? Thanks.
Plus getting bussines done early on a WC year is a good way to go about things - some of the players we're linked to could have an amazing tournament and their price would rise simply due to that, as the chances are more clubs would be showing interest. Get them done and dusted, than perhaps add one more towards the end of the window.
If that was the 6 we added by the end of the summer, I will be greatly disappointed. That's quantity not quality. Rodgers said he wanted quality not quantity.
I do think we're wasting the draw of CL football.. Are those players who we wouldn't stand a chance of getting without CL? Debatable.
12mEuro he seems very strong and athletic and seems to have a solid work rate. But he also fouls a lot and his passing can be very hit and miss. The last player I had this gut feeling about was Joe Cole. Though I thought Robbie Keane would be a fantastic signing.
Cesc Fabregas set to leave Barcelona and will most likely return to the PL according to Sky Sports. Expect him to go back to Arsenal
Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, Flamini, Ozil, Cazorla, Rosiky. Fabrigas would be unnecessary be we all know they'll try to sign him any way. Who would have him at Liverpool?
