You already have beef with smug from his past, did you really think derailing a football thread on post one, followed by pitying his grand kids was going to be seen as banter by anyone. Are you telling you're that thick?
I didn't think that it would be taken to heart. It's obviously upset the guy, and that wasn't my intentions. I will be more careful around smug as I don't want to upset him or anyone. Like I said, there's no grudge on my part, time to move on.
I've been posting since the bbc days and I've met a few on here but I wouldn't dream, even now I've met them, of using their families for confrontational banter. Never mind being careful around smug, you shouldn't be talking to anyone like that. Just plain out of order imo. I'll shut up about it now.
