We've already shoved two CB's out to the right, hope we don't do that same with him Big tall CB' aren't built to be running up and down the line all game!
Be a bit **** to release him and basically say "**** your injury" We loaned him to an Argentinian club for the duration of his rehabilitation so he could be nearer home, I'm sure I read that he'd move there permanently afterwards due to being out of contract.
On Fifa his contract doesn't run out in season 1. I know it's "only Fifa" but in terms of contract lengths they're normally spot on.
Doesn't mean he should be out there? He's played his career as a CB and surely we should be looking to get him in and playing as a CB and potential long term player there.
Totally agree. I like Lallana and would love us to sign him but any more than £15m is ridiculous IMO
No it doesn't, but then I wasn't saying he should be first pick. I was responding to your comment where you suggested Flanno, Wisdom and then Kelly
Why would players coming in as upgrades be prepared to accept lower wages? (unless they were young yet to proove themselves).
Fair enough. The odd game then yeah that could be ok, but think he'd played at CB all this season and most of hi career at Sporting so wouldn't really want to rely on him out there too much. P.S stop being a lazy batard and at least read the 2nd paragraph of my WC prediction post
Because the club won't offer those kind of wages now so they won't get it unless they earn it via bonus payments.
You think Lambert is going to want 100k? Reason they'd be on less is because since those players were signed (the Rafa era) we've offered contracts very differently with lower wages and more incentive based. Add the fact they are younger and therefor will generally be on less money. Lambert, Lallana will probably both be on less than 50k. So giving them both 70k will be a huge increase for them, but still less than what we're currently paying players they will be replacing.
The fact you posted a response to the Winners and goal scorers made me think you may have actually read more than the first paragraph for a change!
£25M is crazy money. Surely it also encourages other clubs to keep asking for inflated transfer fees if we're willing to pay this much over a player's real value. Wonder if Lallana's agent might try his luck on the wages too considering the desperate amount we're willing to pay to bring him in.
