I see Bafetimbi Gomis has spoken to 5 Premier league clubs, including one with "a very ambitious chairman"....is that still us? No? Oh, ok.

 

The ambitious chairman is prob Leicester.

 

Did he speak to a club with "room for all his friends" too?

 

The Observer is linking us (and Sunderland) with Bordeaux striker Henri Salvet. Apparently "he has been compared to Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry". Not sure who made that comparison, and I actually don't give a ****. It's just nice to see us linked with a positive story. Funny how my contempt for the Sports Press evaporates when I read something I like the sound of.

I remember he was getting those comparisons about five years ago. Not sure he's really advanced since though.

Well that alleviates another concern of mine. It's about the right amount if we can spend £30m without selling players. However is this figure calculated to include Lallana money?

 

The article suggests not...saying would be more if players left. However, we must remember that this figure has just been snatched from the air...though would have thought any EPL manager would expect 30-50 million when signed.

Torino in for Gaston Ramirez

The Sale continues

 

Torino are interesting in Gastón, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

 

Hardly a shock really if Gaston went.

 

I want gaston to stay, shame he's quite injury prone.

 

Yeah, don't all start pretending like you love Ramirez.

 

If Torino give us a good price for Gaston I'll have no problem with that at all. He is still a bit awkward in our setup. If Torino have all this money all of a sudden, maybe they'd like Osvaldo.

 

Crikey, we would need to be making some serious signings if we sell all these players. Squad was small anyway!

 

I'd rather we didn't sell him. I'm still a Gaston fan and it'd mean yet another player we have to replace.
