Wales is starting to have a heavy watford influence ,its all part of a cunning plan to assimilate Wales we have agents graham ,rodgers and mackay in place already! we are the horns , resistance is futile you will be anglicised !!!
...and I got my last speeding ticket on the M4 in Wales on the way to Cardiff for the play off final in 2006. What a coincidence!
If we sell, we need to get a good Championship level keeper in, as Gilmartin does worry me. Of course, Rene may get better the more matches he plays, but we do need a good back-up keeper. Personally, I think it was a mistake to let Richard Lee go, and would be happy to see him brought back if we can't get anyone else. If Dyche can get another keeper lined up as replacement, then I say sell Loach for as much as possible, including all the sell-on fees etc. Nothing against Loach at all, just that his decision-making has cost us points.
Ticket? I don't condone speeding, but you should be given a medal for managing to get above 77mph on the M4 during daylight hours!
Totally agree about Richard Lee. Glad he's making a good name for himself at Brentford. I think SL will pull it back round this year...if the crowd get off his back.
Agreed Hornette, there is no way Loach can progress if the crowd are on his back. He needs support, as every goalkeeper makes mistakes, it's just that their mistakes are much costlier than if a striker makes a mistake. He is still very young and is expected to perform on a regular basis, which is impossible for someone of his age behind a defence that can be rock-solid one week and non-existent the next. I still rate him as one of the best keepers in the league simply due to his reactions, and Alec Chamberlain will almost certianly work with him on his decision-making during this summer. Hopefully, he will come back at his best for next season.
Well said Hornette. It's fair to say that Loach had a disappointing season, but it was disappointing by the high standards that he sets for himself. Even in a bad season he's a solid Championship keeper, which is all we can really ask for.
Goalkeepers are easy targets and there is no doubt that fans severely affect their confidence - you only have to look at the likes of David James and Paul Robinson when they made errors that led to them being barracked
Unfortunately near Cardiff and Port Talbot the Welsh police have devised better ways of hitting motorists for speeding - they sneakily reduce the M4 to 50 mph over long stretches
I wouldn't be too fussed if he was sold...but probably need to get another goalie in although 2 young guys coming through the Youth system are highly rated.
I wouldn't be too fussed either about him going now except that at this time we would not get the right value for him
Especially when the players are young kids, our own young kids as well! Hornette spot on ! they need and in the majority get support!
Hello I feel that keeping Loach would be best for now, I don't think Gilmartin is up to scratch, lets not forget the goal he let in when playing Brighton, in the FA Cup third round, It was on par with Green in the world cup me thinks!!
Hello Gb247 A bit unfair on him ,maybe if he hadnt had that howler ,he may have had a much better season , He will come good! Look atDavid James!, didnt earn the calamity nickname for nothing! Scotts had a poor season by his own standards! Bond is coming on well according to various reports , but probably isnt ready just yet!
