Nothing in and of itself, it was just hilariously timed to coincide with the news about Lambert being lined up for a medical at Anfield. You can imagine the reaction it got.
I think we have had enough hints now mate. The new manager will be a nobody so they can continue the rinse cycle. Not sure what her end game is, but wish it would hurry up.
The problem is that we are beginning to see the future. MP leaving...okay, we got over that. We hope Adam and Luke will stay, but suspect they won't. Losing Lambert is something we didn't expect...makes you wonder how much more we don't expect, as we can't believe anything we are told. Yes, we could get a good manager and sign good players...but we already had both. We were that close to being a very good side....we were already an entertaining side. Not surprised fans are turning, even a placid dog will react if it gets kicked enough times.
I like to think I'm being relatively calm, but that calmness is being challenged somewhat at the moment. I was one of the people who i'm afraid didn't believe a thing Ralph said from the moment he first opened his mouth, as I mentioned at the time - seen too many of his type before sadly. I certainly think the situation isn't irredeemably dire though. A swift, impressive managerial appointment followed by a couple of exciting signings and we'll all be happy again. Without that happening soon, well even the calmest of us will wobble.
Thing is Fran , good as MP was , perhaps as you said our players made him look good . Shaw and Lallana have not gone ( yet ) I have calmed down now , lets just wait and see . If Ralph is all talk ( as I suspect he is ) I will worry , but if KL really cares about the club and takers advice from Les Reed , I will keep calm and carry on , for now......... .
Overreacting tho. Yes we may lose 3 or 4 players, but they will be replaced. Not saying it won't annoy me if we do, but I won't go bat **** crazy like a lot on here have. We can't judge the board until the transfers happen, so far only Lambert is close to going. He will join a team he has supported as a child, so it's obvious it's not just the board saying that's sell everyone crap. I get people being pissed off but come on now. The reaction is crazy when we know **** all. What if when Lambert goes he does a interview and says he convinced the board to let them join the team he loves. There isn't just one side (the boards fault crap) to a story.
I would only wobble if we sold off 8 players and didn't replace them. As I can't see that happening I am to remain carm. Players come and go and so do managers, us fans are the things that stay. Yes it may hurt or annoy you that a favorite player may go but then another player will take his place in our hearts. All this asset stripping etc is crazy talk until proven otherwise. People just need to take a step back and think before posting crazy crap.
