Erm..........players who are out of contract IN JULY can at present only sign a pre-contract with a new club. They are still contracted to their clubs until 1st July. Maybe if you learnt the rules and regulations of transfers then you wouldn't look like such an idiot. Wait.......you still look like an idiot.
Cotterill MUST have another striker in mind, I cannot think of who, but there must be someone in mind. Rumor has it (nothing concrete mind) we are trying to sign Marcus Hahnemann.
Hahnemann would be a fantastic signing - whether he would take the role between the posts over Jamie though?!
Apparently Cotterill wants someone good enough to challenge Jamie. I have a horrible feeling that if he came in, Jamie would be relegated back to bench warmer again (which in my opinion would be incredibly harsh).
Harsh, yes, because he re-signed for us after being let go and was "good" last year. But football is a game of results, if SC brings someone else in and they are better than Jamie, then sorry, but the gloves go to the better keeper.
Even though we will ever be in debt to Jamie for doing his U-Turn last summer and coming back to us, its all about the team and not the individual. If Hahnneman (hypothetically) came in and shows he still has what it takes, then give the gloves to him. Jamie cannot keep playing 50 games a season!
It's obviously all hypothetical, I personally can't see us bringing in someone of his quality. Whoever we do get will probably not challenge Ashdown to a great extent...
Hahneman is getting on a bit now though - He has more prem experience than Jamie, and in an even tougher Championship season, he could be just the tonic!
Hysterectomy Repeating and ODB, clear off to your own boards and stop lingering on my threads or you may get banned!
JESUS CHRIST, all i did was make a little joke that any sensible person would not take seriously. it was just a bit of light hearted banter
Leaving aside the handbags, and returning to the OP (assuming a "scummer" such as myself is allowed on this hallowed thread), what if you could only choose one of the possibilities and the other side got the alternative? Would you mind losing home and away if you made the play-offs? Personally, I would trade two losses for a shot at the Premiership. This is only a bit of fun, obviously. I think we should be able to overcome 9 or so players without too much difficulty!
You are welcome to comment Channonfodder, I have been accused of many things today including persons that I am not (just like on BBC 606 ), but you are ok despite being, red ,stripey and from the wrong side of Hampshire! In all honesty I think we will beat you at Fratty and lose or draw at St.Fairies provided we have a team and squad of substance by then. I think also that unless you strengthen particularly in defence and up front you will be in trouble next season , I realistically expect you to only have 6-7 points by 1st October. You heard it here first.
The only person deluded here is you Saintsalive. Get back to your own site and stay there you naughty little boy..........
I would settle for reaching the playoffs, myself. And beating Southampton home and away in them. Or just the once in the final, I'm not fussed ^_^
Hysterectomy Repeating are you going to comment on my thread or just hang around like a nasty red rash?
