You have thrown a few names that i've not heard so will have to do some research ...........a few new ones to my collection at the minute which are worth a go are Sunny Sweeney,Sturgil Simpson and Ashley Monroe( also a Pistol Annie).
Sturgil Simpson was on Jools Holland last week and was very good. We seem to have hi-jacked this thread somewhat WCP so if you want to pm me I'll throw some more names at you.....
I lean more toward 'Outlaw Country' Cash,Kris,Waylon Jennings and of coarse who doesnt like a bit of Willie........
Yep I like all those and who wouldn't if you know your country! Kenny Rodgers, Charlie Pride, Buddy Rich and my tastes go all the way through to Blues, Soul & Funk!
Well ladies and gentlemen, we got ourselves a hoe-down! Yeeeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaaaa!! Glad this thread has taken a turn for the better by the way, didn't mean that earlier WCP, we're all buddies really
To true ....i have a collection that covers a few different genres From Louis Jordan to Curtis Mayfield to Frank Zappa.......but the last few years ...'I av been mostly listerning to Country'.....i think it is that i find it better lyrically....i do like to sing along...
Must admit, coming back to this thread noticing an explosion of posts, this was not the direction I expected it to take!
If i can recommend one Album at the moment it would be 'The Road' by Aaron Lewis even if you don't like Country i bet you'll like this.
Pmsl I like the way this thread has gone on & on from one subject to another and largely remained civil. Nice one everyone, now if we could manage the same on the subject of football...... Whistles
