Donnie Brasco was good, but not best. Casino best. Watching Joe Pesci getting beaten alive with baseball bats was cinematic genius.
I'd read the book "Blood on the Moon" before I saw the film and thought it was possibly the least likely crime fiction ever to be adapted. James Woods is magic in it, should have been the new Dirty Harry off the back of it.
Totally off at a tangent but one of the best films I have seen was "Downfall". Still got the DVD which I borrowed from the folks. Might watch it tonight after a couple of pints.
Was it about a ******ed guy who pumps auld Ailsa out of home and away then makes a robot to rob a bank?
