    2nd one is debatable

edit: it's probably not even debatable, we are worse off

In terms of keeping players perhaps but the current board are adamant that the financial situation was nowhere near as good as NC made out.

Point taken, apologies for the rant. I am off to the station to get the train to Wembley where I was massively hoping to cheer on my favourite Saints players playing for England.

Instead I will now get about 20 mates that all support big clubs ripping me apart about how Saints are a small selling club etc.

    Can't wait.

How are we worse off? Cortese was in the process of selling Lambert to West Ham in January, that's not better for anyone.

All anyone has mentioned about the financial situation is that we were still yet to pay about £27m in transfer fees. A situation that leaves us no worse off financially than if we had paid those fees up front.

Least it's only Wembley. I will be in Brazil doing the same thing.

Well they'll still be saints players until tomorrow at least! Just laugh it off, the club is bigger than any player (and so far we're only selling Lambert). We'll still take points off some of the big teams next season I'm sure.

Feel sick having just renewed this morning feel like the club has let supporters down tbh.

Ever since I started supporting Saints (late 80s) the club has always had ups and downs with players and struggling to keep hold of them. Every season it seemed almost inevitable that MLT was going! I remember being so upset after so many different players had left (most notably Alan Shearer) but I guess being a saints fan you have to deal with it. It just felt though that recently Saints were planning something, to become a bigger team and by selling players and letting managers go you will never achieve it. What must other players be thinking? How will a player like Jack Cork or Jose Fonte react? Where will the motivation be when the new boss starts?

If Lallana stays then the situation won't be half as bad as people are making out. Lambert has a few seasons left and we can't get in the way of a dream move for him. Shaw has been destined to leave ever since he broke into the first team.

Just a thought but what they got up their sleeves for a quality striker coming in (or 2)....
Our 3 strikers out on loan won't be coming back Jay rod is injured and Sam isn't ready yet....
I hope they have someone good coming in :emoticon-0108-speec

That's going to be a momentous Not606 moment (providing he doesn't just keep it anyway).

Doing The Hooiveld Walk has a ring to it.

At least the breaking news of Asene Venger agreeing a new contract has for now stopped the yellow info bar with rickies pending departure flashing across the screen.

The club just posted on Facebook that today is the last day for season ticket renewals. Let's just say that judging by the comments, the timing of that hasn't gone down terribly well.....

EDIT - sorry, just caught up on previous page
