Liverpool agree £9m bid for Rickie Lambert

Please don't reason with me. I am entirely entitled to feel as I do. Christ all bloody mighty, did they have to transfer him before the World Cup..? He would have played in Brazil as a Saints player. Now commentators will announce him as Liverpool's Rickie Lambert when he steps onto the pitch. This is too much for me. I can't be reasonable about this one. I don't feel the slightest bit of bad feeling towards Rickie and I'm pleased for him, but I am totally and utterly gutted for myself and the club. If you [others] want to see all sides of the deal, you carry on. I can't get past it.

Why should people commit to the club to the tune of nearly a grand when the club won't even commit to itself

 

I can only presume that when they blocked his move to West Ham in January they must have given him assurances that they wouldn't stand in his way in future.

The season ticket tweets are poorly timed, but you really need to take some deep breaths mate.

 

That is poor from Saints. Fans are understandably angry, confused, upset and then they say that.

Personally, I don't see why someone not buying a season ticket until they see what happens makes them any less of a fan.

I have stated many times that I don't think a meltdown, exodus, firesale etc. will happen, but no-one can deny that it is looking more and more likely every day. If people aren't willing to part with a massive amount of money, because of this, who are you to judge!?

You don't have to agree wih their decision, but to call them worse fans because of it is being very disrespectful.

I wouldn't blame anyone for not buying a season ticket. Your words about the club "not even committing to itself" and saying all players are for sale are objectionable though.

Worth remembering that after our last two 'meltdowns' - Adkins sacking and then Cortese leaving - we recovered fairly well and ended up better off.
