I was thinking this too - very sad that I won't get a chance to say goodbye. I'll be heading up to Liverpool next season and I'll let my feelings known mind :emoticon-0152-heart<applause><applause>

I could understand Rickie for West Ham (why have I got a bad taste in my mouth?) because he could get you those important few goals to avoid relegation, but cannot actually fathom Liverpool's interest in Rickie. Do you think Gerrard is involved in this?

He's a good player and would give them something different. I hope they don't just sign him to warm the bench though.

He'll be rotation at best if they keep Suarez and Sturridge. If Suarez goes and Lambert gets a more regular role, it'd mean a strange deviation from last season's tactics.

Liverpool play the same style as Saints, so he'd fit straight into the team no problem.

He'd be back up for Sturridge & Suarez. With extra CL games, they will need another top striker next season.

He's English, so helps out their FFP & Uefa rules.

He's very cheap for a 15 goal a season Prem striker.

if gerrard keeps taking penalties he's a 10 goal a season striker.

I don't know, the idea of him holding the ball up and playing balls through for Sterling and Sturridge is quite an appealing one (if you're not a saints fan!)

He's excelled playing with more mobile players around him for us, so I think that's probably what attracts them to him.

suarez, sturridge and sterling running onto his passes over the top.

maybe gerrard fancies a rest and lambert's back up for him.

Yes, exactly. His combination play with Rodriguez last season was fantastic, just imagine if he had Suarez and Sturridge running on to his through balls, not to mention Sterling.

    And nobody mention Lallana.

If Lambert only scores one goal for Liverpool and that goal is to get them from the CL group stages into the Knockout stages, he will have paid for his transfer twice over.
