Is it a known hangout of some sort? Like the zebra crossing in Abbey Road, NW London?

I'm not sure the middle of a road is a good hangout.

The Ted Bates statue happens to be right outside St Mary's where anyone walking by can see it. Managers and footballers tend to try not to be seen when liaising with another club.

Maybe the terms of his severance with united don't affect his ability to seek new employment. I don't see why moyes would be bashful about interviewing for a job with us.

I'm sure both parties could tell a good mutual story about it not being the right fit if it didn't happen.

I'm sure we'd like to keep any interviews under wraps, and I'm sure Moyes would like to avoid attracting media attention.

Perhaps he phoned Ralph when he got to St Marys, and was told, "go and wait by the Ted Bates statue, I'll be down in a minute". Like meeting a blind date under the clock at Waterloo station.

Don't be an idiot, Waterloo station is packed. How would you know which was your blind date?

He's a winner and would attract some 'name' players, but if still not have him near the top of my list. Although when Spuds come to town, we could sing "that's what it's like to be Tottenham... You signed Poncho and we signed Bob Mancini"

At this time of year? When all the uni students are going back home? Every girl in there will be wearing pink pyjamas. Don't be an idiot.

Not such a priority, but we need to replace Dodd and Williams. New managers usually come with an entourage, but not usually youth coaches.

Managers do not hang around car parks, statues or anywhere else in the public gaze. When has there ever been a true rumour about that. How many times were rumours like this reported? Plenty of times.
Any manager who applied and was not successful would not want that known, and clubs would not want to be publicly rejected either.
No, look elsewhere, not in the car park.
    I wouldn't mind Moyes, though.

I think if Moyes was in the frame before Pochettino we'd have been happy with it. Surprising how much difference a year makes.

I tend to agree with the people above though. At Everton trying to stay in the top 6 and hoping for top4 each season they would have to be very very good youngsters to be able to 'blood them'. Barkley came through there as did Rodwell and Rooney. There were a few others but their youth system hasn't been that good with player like Gosling and Jose Baxter not making the grade.

If he was manager here he wouldn't need to be defensive he would have much more freedom to give the youth a chance as that is our policy and we also have a ****load of quality youth to enable that process.

I wouldn't be surprised if he were the one we gave the job to in the end. Big name manager, just been manager of the world's biggest club. Known to be able to keep a lower budget club with the big boys and if anything we have better propects in terms of the youth that are nearing fruition.

Not my first choice but still not to be sneezed at.
