    That`s shocking Billy.

And to think that, a muslim woman, under Sharia law, would have been stoned to death for allowing it to happen.

It is one seriously ****ed up culture mate, it really is.

I must admit, I know little about politics and the history of how the EU came about, I have never been able to educate myself in things I'm not interested in. Yet here we are further down the line of a ****ed up immigration policy than surely anybody could have ever imagined and I'm asked along with everybody else in this country to vote for who will deal with this best.

I know I don't speak for everyone, but I represent a large proportion of the UK who have failed to grasp a real understanding of policies, so my vote will be determined by things I see in the street and read in the news, a dangerous recipe for a voter, given the scaremongering that goes on in the tabloids and television programs.

I have focussed my efforts into matters that I'm intrigued by, such as religious beliefs and how they evolved, how they've become misinterpreted and how they manifest into entire populations, despite the fact that I'm completely atheist and wouldn't entertain the slightest molecule of make belief fantasy.

The fact that religion has integrated it's way into law, policy and the taxpayer's pocket is beyond belief for me so I cannot offer my vote to anyone, which is my sole reason for always refusing to vote.

Predominantly, opportunity, £££ and freedom of speech Billy, although that little concoction only washes down on very few, there are a large proportion of them that have abused and exploited every element of that. I know a few very decent immigrants or descendants of immigrants personally and I've heard the whole spiel about how to manipulate the system, how they get around it, the name changes, the tax avoidance, the children that don't exist... it's disgusting mate.

Honestly I could talk about it all day but that's what they want, attention.

I've had the debate a thousand times, whether the orthodox religious type get true fulfilment but I usually conclude that they do, each to their own and I'll never stop anybody trying to live their life the way they want so long as they don't interfere with me or my family/friends on any level.

The trouble is when ultra-orthadox and extremists get a platform, and the media in this country will give them that all day long, they're just as bad as anybody the media.

I think it`s quite simply about power and control.

Firstly, I do not subscribe to the premise that Islam is a religion. I think it`s much, much more than that. In fact, a complete way of life. Everything that happens, every day is governed by something in the Q`ran. The thing is that faith and law have become so intricately interwoven that it`s virtually impossible for the average Moslem to know what to do.

That`s where the Imams come in. The real power. They interpret things to suit themselves and the ignorant, brainwashed masses do exactly as they`re told, if, for no other reason than fear of the consequences.

I`m sure we`ve all seen it. Kick one, they all limp. That`s the sort of control the clerics have. The Q`ran tells them that the whole world must be converted to Islam by whatever means necessary (by any and all means is the exact wording) which gives them free reign to do anything to achieve it.

Pretty scary reading the previous articles, as with the multi culture society we now live in it makes you wonder just how long it will take for the Islamists to get their foot on the power ladder and start to take control of our country.
Can imagine it wont be long before there is a political party set up by them to protect their rights etc.?

They already have mate. Count the Moslem MP`s. Note how they`re creeping into higher positions.

Even the horror that is Diane Abbott in the house of lords. Strange that, as, if the lunatic fundamentalists had their way, she wouldn`t even be allowed to read a book.

Don't tar all Muslims with the same brush. That's the kind of extremist **** Al-Qeadi and Al-Shabaab do.

Regarding the pope and smoke, its got **** all to do with colour of skin, it goes to a vote, if they cant decide on the next pope, its black smoke and they have another vote, if they then do decide its white smoke, because they have made a decision.

as for the OP, let them get on with it in their own country, which this is, its not in the UK so why are we so worried about it, yes its wrong but its their culture if they want to change it they can, if not they dont, but at least the father got arrested for murder, at least the law over there "looks" like they are doing something about it.

Plenty bad crap happens in the western countries, purps get arrested and in the UK probably spend 8 years behind bars in an open bloody prison (even though they got life, wtf is all that all about), at least over there the purps get their dues (not that i believe in the death penalty, but i dont agree with these lenient terms either for brutal crimes).

bottom line its their country and customs, let them get on with it, i dont think a stoning like this has ever happened on British shores, so **** it, why worry.

People worry mate because there are sections of them attempting to implement their extreme 'laws' into our society.

There has to be a line drawn somewhere by the powers that be in this country, which must be several steps back from where this stupid movement has already evolved to. The fact that religion is impacting on a nation is medieval, it's absolutely incredible as far as I'm concerned that religious discrimination is even considered illegal, when I can be arrested for mocking somebodies views on Allah yet nobody would say anything about me having a rant in public about the tooth fairy.

People are entitled to believe whatever the **** they want, but the minute it starts to infringe on other's free-will and right to speak I think it should be looked at, and dealt with.

I don't agree with this. Human solidarity is not only a powerful force for change but is also a moral imperative. We should support those who are trying to change their country for the better (people like Malala Yousafzai) and put pressure on those who carry out barbaric customary practices such as stoning, honour killings and female genital mutilation which is a complete aberration and words cannot express how much it disgusts me.

That reminds me of when I was in Egypt and we were visited a Berber or Tuareg settlement in the desert and the guide said something about FGM (although using the 'nicer' term of female circumcision.... because their are so many health benefits from it and it's clearly not a way repressing women <doh>) but essentially that it was their culture and should be respected. I didn't speak up as I was just a kid then, but I wish I had and nowadays I would. Especially as I seem to have turned into a feminist with old age.

That has become an almost automatic demand but it's nonsense imo.
It's my culture to have freedom of thought and freedom of speech ....... why should anyone be told who and what to respect?

It's Chinese culture to shoot rhinos because their horns look vaguely like erect penises ........
...... but only if you squint your eyes when you look at them.

That and FGM are totally ****ing stupid practises and deserve no respect whatsoever.

Oh well if it's tradition that makes it alright then!
No doubt we'll give her brothers & her father asylum.

And what religion do you expect these people who traditionally carry out honour killings are?
Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Buddist, Hindu, Sikh?
    I don't know but I've a pretty good idea.
