The reliable Paul Joyce confirms a £16m + Suso loan for Moreno. Also says that we've put in bids for Lallana, Shaqiri, Can and Lovren. Moreno and Can would add much needed quality to weak positions, while Shaqiri will boost our attack further! Excited.
Didn't realise it was a loan (Suso to Sevilla) If that's the case then that's not as bad as what I first thought.
I know pal - I'm hoping getting him doesn't mean we forget someone like Shaqiri. But Lallana, is one of the hardest working players in the final third and he is someone who can alternate with Coutinho. For £20m, I could just about stomach it. Me too. Pretty good deal for a highly rated defender. I would prefer Rodriguez but Moreno is also very talented.
Just hoping we aren't stupid enough to go higher than £20m for Lallana, Soton might want closer to £30m but we can get just as good elsewhere.
I just don't think he's the type of target that makes a real statement about our intentions next season. He's decent, but to alternate with Ford. Nah, not what we want.
All the Liverpool based journos now reporting our bid for Moreno. I agree on Lallana - he won't improve our first team, but he will be able to alternate with some members of the team easily which won't disrupt us. He's versatile, hard working, technical. But £25m+, we need to walk away.
Tony Barrett said we also scouted Ryan Bertrand (good lord!) and Felipe Luis (At Madrid). Can't believe looked at Felipe Luis, fantastic defender! Would love to have him.
He also says that Liverpool won't pay over £20m for Lallana. Soton want £20m AFTER they pay the 25% they will owe to Bournemouth. So Liverpool would have to pay £25m.
that makes a lot more sense. the quoted money must have been euros then. a loan for suso to seville would be very good if he can step it up to that level. 16mil for that guy would be about right imo. i don't however believe we've bidded for that list... just don't enquired on lallana maybe, lovern is speculation and the lit to me looks too... too easy, too in the public domain for it to be much more than rehashing.
Our bid for Lallana was a 'verbal' bid, or rather, an inquiry to see how what kind of value they've placed on him. Naturally our verbal bid was laughably low and we were told to come back with a much higher offer if we want him. Lallana would be happy to move though, if we can reach an agreement with Saints.

We only bought Alberto last summer as a potential signing. It wouldn't look too great if we were to sell a "future player" after one season If they want £20m after the 25% clause, we'd need to pay £26.7m #pedantic
