http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/celtic/victor-is-vexed-at-st-marys-changes-165357n.24352298 Least the Dailystar didn't say Wanyama was "Vexed".
Their readers wouldn't understand the word....they tend to go from 0-100 in rage (missing out being vexed).
someone at the club needs to put their arm around vic and tell him that poch's passion wasn't for the club but for what the club could do for him.
The comments aren't that bad and, to be fair, he's probably entitled to think that. I'm not sure clubs will be waiting for The Daily Star to write articles like this before bidding for players, so don't worry that this may change their view on potential transfers!
Someone needs to put their arm around Fran, sit her down and get her a nice cup of chamomile tea. This can't be doing you any good Fran. Take it easy.
Those comments weren't bad at all. These ones are worse. http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/sports/2014/05/29/wanyama-hints-at-saints-exit/?
“I learnt a lot from him, he taught me more and that’s why I have grown as a player and there is a big difference compared to when I was at Celtic." yeah you stopped scoring.
Ohhh boy. If there was ever a telling sign that there was once an incredibly ambitious regime at Southampton which has now been largely dismantled, this is it. Bury your heads in the sand if you like, but the squad and the manager were sold by Cortese's ambition and clearly they're not so sold any more. This is as high as we're getting with the current regime. Sell the club, Katharina.
As you well know, players and managers' contracts work entirely differently. None of them can simply walk away like Pochettino did. Krueger has said they're waiting for the new manager before any decisions are made on players. If we get someone in who can inspire the players then this resignation that everyone will go will disappear very quickly.
The way I'm seeing it right now, most of our players are away for various reasons, and they've not yet meetings (or similar) with the new board, and it's all waiting for the new manager to be in place. We know the ambition is there, but maybe it hasn't been conveyed to the players yet, as they are holding fire till pre-season/new manager? Maybe we should just play a waiting game until the club is a little bit more stable, before jumping the gun?
How do we know the ambition is there? Actions prove ambition, anyone can say "oh yeah we're still really ambitious, promise" in front of reporters.
How do you know it isn't? Oh of course, all our players are just like him. How foolish of me. Anyway, he was allowed to go.
