You are in our leaders shoes today, what single decision would you make, or try to make, that you felt would drive City further forwards? Can we leave all name change debates aside as no doubt that alone would represent the response from a fair few. For me it would be making a concerted effort to negotiate to acquire The KC from the council. Thorny issue but one which would ultimately provide a strong asset base to the club. It's serving no useful purpose under the councils ownership, lets agree a price and get on developing it and hopefully some of the surrounding land.
I would reinstate Nick Barmby on the coaching staff, send Nigel Pearson some hate mail, buy Nathan Redmond and Jack Rodwell then book a jet skiing holiday in the Maldives.
Whispers that AA is in talks with the HCC about the KC. So i would like to know hiow much truth is in that story ? Sanction the funds for whoever SB wants to sign but make it clear that F.Campbell and Bender are 100% No No's. Then get my driver to take me to lunch somewhere nice. (Not the KFC or fast food joints either).
I love the idea of AA sat at his posh desk everyday at 11am, nobody else in his room, putting together hate mail to Nigel Pearson, ticking off his 'daily to do' list and then sitting back happy with another days good work. Personally I'd be pushing this academy/training ground through - I think that and the stadium are the two biggest barriers to our progression. I think the academy and training round are number one though.
Didn't they have an open day at the KC about 4 years back? Do another one, get the players/manager in and involved. Nice sunny day in July, mascot olympics/matches on the pitch with ex City players. Meet and greet/autograph sessions for the kids etc etc. Maybe show the semi-final and the final on big screens, and goals/key moments from the season. Free sweets and stuff for the kids. Build a few bridges (not literally, that would be silly). Might get a few new younger fans in. Get Curtis without his shirt for the ladies. Also if I was Mr Allam for the day I would seriously reconsider his shiny shirts. Not a good look on anyone. Shiny shirts went out in 1979.
I would be waiting for my daily meeting with the new Hull City PR department, looking how we can promote ourselves. Follow that up with a visit to the newly expanded club shop to view the new vast range of quality merchandise ready for sale to the masses eagerly queuing outside. Then it's back to the office to throw a few darts at my Nigel dartboard.... Before retiring to my private bathroom to sit there passing time watching repeats of Prince William meeting me at Wembley on my curved UHD TV, before using my latest roll of CTWD extra soft toilet paper....
Convene press conference. Apologies to the supporters for the name change debacle. Introduce new football/PR/media savvy Chief Exec. Announce deal to buy KC Stadium from HCC financed as a philanthropic gift from the Healy family and a development plan to expand the stadium to 38K including upper tiers, expanded corporate facilities and state of the art Hull City Museum. Announce new 3 year deal to keep Steve Bruce as manager. Announce full Safe Standing in North Stand. Announce free travel to historic first Europa Cup away game for 1000 of City’s most loyal supporters.
He could write a letter of apology for turning our greatest ever season into a side show for his ego. That would be a decent start.
sorry, but i don,t understand all the nigel pearson hate stuff on not 606 by city fans. we have S.B. who is better isn,yt he?
1. Tell Steve Bruce he and the team are the most important asset the Club has and say that all other factors are aimed at helping them progress. 2. Create a variety of opportunities for fans to talk to the Club and have their views considered. 3. Invest heavily in the academy, with a view to building Hull as a centre for sport. This should include all other sports, including pooling resources with local football and rugby teams. 4. Forge links with the Communities and Schools, possibly linked to 3, but not solely related to football. 5. Create brand Hull City or The Tigers, which would be used for investments in local community schemes, such as Hull City becoming a landlord of high quality property. It could also include local business designing and providing Hull City's playing kit. A percentage of the profit from such enterprises going to Hull City AFC. 6. Encourage a community to group to take on the waste ground that is the site of the former Circle ground. Using the south stand as a basis, create a sporting heritage centre as an attraction, possibly relaying a playing surface and having local competitions there.
**** City & **** you ****ers, if I'm AA for the day my first & only action before getting rat arsed & high on whores would be to transfer all available funds & personal cash to the account of SCB.
