The annoying thing is that most only read the headlines...that's why it is better not to speak at all. Though then I suppose the headline would be 'Wanyama tightlipped on MP exit.'

It's understandable that the players are showing frustration due to our club on the verge of being torn apart. I agree that the players shouldn't go to the press and NC wouldn't have allowed it. Need to be professional guys and all the papers you could have spoken too.....

Calm down, fran. It's The Star. Do you really think they've spoken to Victor? I doubt it.

Quite a different spin on his words than the one we saw in the Kenyan press. They even changed the description of him from "polite" to "powerful"!

I'd prefer the players kept their mouths shut too but I wouldn't be too harsh on him, in isolation his words aren't all that bad.

I don't like headlines like this, but I wonder how much effect it really has on events. It may tempt clubs to put in offers, but probably doesn't change our stance on sales. The club will never let all the players leave...they will just be reminded of their contracts. The first player to leave the lifeboat reduces the chance of anyone else leaving. And to be fair, although unsettled, most players will not want to leave. The WC is a nuisance as it isolates the players from the club.

Yeah, the Star has just managed to take a couple of sentences he said to some Kenyan press and exaggerate the hell out of it.

"I wanted him (Pochettino) to remain because he had the passion for the club and I think the owners should not have let him go because the team can do better next season."

That is his entire criticism of the owners.

The Star, The Mail, and The Irish Independent are attributing Vic's comments to "Capital Sport". I've no idea what that is, google throws up links to a sportswear company and a fundraiser for school sports teams. Perhaps it's part of Capital Radio? Perhaps it's bullshit.

Someone get Luke off Twitter though, ffs.

It's bollocks. What Wanyama said and what the headline reads bear no relation to each other. The opinions of anyone who takes this article seriously can be safely ignored.

It's more like the actions of a dripping tap...as said, probably best to ignore. However, it would be nice if even one player came out and said something supportive of the club...but that would never make the news.

You need to chill, unless he gave another interview(which I doubt). They have changed how he said things in a big way.

I wonder if I can find a stream for Kenya's game against Comoros on Saturday. Never seen Vic play for his country.

Thanks. So it seems Vic spoke to a radio station back home in Kenya, where I assume he's something of a celebrity. Expressed some disappointment at losing the manager he admires, but does not appear to have "blasted" anyone. Also said he hopes the squad stays together.

Then a couple of bottom feeding "journalists" in England, employed to trawl the net looking for scraps, get hold of it and make something out of nothing .

That would be a good idea. Based on recent history though, you don't seem to be capable of that.
