This. RIP Malcolm Glazer. A couple of Bucks fans I know are really cut up about it.

So all us fans hated him when he was alive, and now were all saying RIP <laugh>

He basically bought our club, used it as a cash cow, and never even bothered to come and see a game. We won those trophies despite the Glazers, not because of them. We would have been even more dominant had we had a proper owner, rather than a parasite. I wouldn't wish death on anyone, but I can't say I overly care.

The Tampa Bay fans may have a different opinion, but that's because he gave a lot to them. All he did for us was take take take, and give nothing back

    Apostrophes don't exist in Welsh.

Edit- they actually do. Poor form Matthew.

    My thoughts exactly.

Shame, for his family, that he has died but it has no effect on me whatsoever. I didn't know him and I resent him forcibly taking over the club.

All this RIP nonsense is just utter bollocks. The internet equivalent of leaving flowers by the side of the road when someone you do not know has died.

It would have been interesting if this had happened during the season, would they have tried for a minutes silence at OT? I'd be fairly certain it wouldn't have been observed

I am not going to be jubilant nor am I going to pretend I am sad. Very sad of course for his family but this does not affect me nor should it affect United as his sons have the majority of the shares. My opinion of the Glazers is known enough for me not repeat it today.

Dont hate him. Dont like him but its worth viewing him as a man and not the owner of United in this.

The guy may not have been popular at United with the fans but Fergie had huge respect for him and in the US he is a very well liked man. His foundation has donated 10s of millions to those less fortunate. He took one of the worst and most pointless NFL sides to the top of the pile.

He also took over United and then led us through our most successful period ever with help from fergie of course.

In my opinion he was one of the better owners in the league. didnt dictate or get involved. He knows the business but knew nothing about football. He let the football men do that side of things ( probably should have stepped in after Fergie retired to be fair, things wouldnt have ****ed up so bad last season ).

So yeh, not my favourite person but hes hardly the ****ing devil.

I didn't wish to comment but I cannot let these pass. He was well liked in the US (or in Tampa Bay) because he did the reverse of what he did with United. He pumped money into that club whereas with United he extracted money and dumped a massive loan which had be repaid by the club itself. In one instant the club changed from being the most profitable in the world to the most indebted.

The amount of interest paid to banks and others as a result of the takeover was more than $500million - can you imagine how many Messis and Ronaldos could have been bought with this amount?

And no, the Glazer period was not United's most successful ever !

I don't think the Glazers taking over had one iota of an effect on out success.

With the manager we had we'd have had that success anyway, it was literally **** all to do with the Glazers.
