Escape from colditz? Just build the glider and forget the game? Mousetrap ? Just build it and forget the game? Bit of a theme developing here. Action man ? There's so many !
I had the board game escape from coldiz, can't remember anything about a glider though. No one wanted to be the germans. Bit OT, been thinking about going to coldiz for a long time its a hotel now apparently, may get there this summer, any been ?
Ah, not good then, I was concerned about the beds, has someone had the wooden slats under the matress away to shore up a tunnel.

Striker was the Daddy closely followed by Test Match. I recall my old boy was non plussed when I painted all the fielders faces black. He wasn't a racist, he was more pissed off at the shoddy job I'd done of it. I also had a second hand purple budgie then progressed to a brand spanking new Grifter. Unless I'm wrong it went; Budgie, Tomahawk, Chopper in that style of urban road cruiser push rod and Boxer, Striker, Grifter in the more rugged 'kick start' type off roader? I used to pretend I was Dougie Lampkin whilst bombing about on my grifter.
They were good quality things, in our matchbox motorway the stick on pegs that you attached to the bottom of the cars regularly fell off, so had races of the peg whizzing round, until we took the track to bits once too often and knackered the spring. Crossfire got me into trouble on Christmas morning as I thought it was fantastic to start blasting away at the puck only to get a slapped lug with it being 1.30 in the morning and me and my brother had sneaked quietly downstairs to open our pressies.....
The Grifter retailed for £99.99 which equates to just over £450 in today's money. Hence mine was second hand.
