Hardly a solution. Just punishes those who have spent their lives saving money for something they had no control over. You can't blame the government for that.

I work with lots of Poles, many are just the Men working here, the wife and kids still live in Poland as our benefits are much more than Poland's we pay the benefit for his wife and kids at the higher rate.

I have no problem with the Poles or any country, but I do have a problem with family's very well off in Poland on My TAX.

Well if you know people doing that, report them!! If the dwp/hmrc don't know how can they stop them?

I don't think it can be that common or it'd be all over the media, could be they're bullshitting you too I guess

There seems to be too much ideology at the expense of what is actually best for people.

This goes for both sides, the left have their heads up their arses and don't want to face the fact that alot of the poor can be lazy, the right are just out for themselves under a pretence they are patriotic.

And although I do not even like the word "conservative", JWM is exactly right for saying that Labour have twice ruined the country on their last two occasions of office and the Tories have had to sort the mess out.

You leave any Government in too long and thats when the damage gets done.

The Lib Dems have done a fantastic job in reining in the Tories and Clegg has sacrificed himself on many occasions where he has let his ideologies pass for the benefit of the country and to create a consensus between the two, as has Cameron. I think they have both done a very good job and I hope they both stay in next election (although thinking about it a second term might prove to be fractious).

Labour are not the shining light people are trying to make out, They carry little credibility with myself, I am a Labour man but I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole at the moment, there are a few decent politicians but Milliband has no answers to call his own and Ed Balls just stinks of power crazed insincerity.

As for UKIP, I fail to see if you are fed up with foreigners arriving en mass in your neighbourhood then I don't see it as a wasted vote at all. I would hate for Norwich to be full of foreigners, but I would also hate for Norwich to be full of East end Londoners, Mancunians, North Londoners. Its why Norwich is such a nice place to live, it doesn't have that element in it.

How many here would fancy living in Leicester, Luton etc. I'd ****ing hate it.

The ones that despise UKIP, are the ones that don't live in these areas. The ones that have seen it happen to their Town have reason to vote that way. Its down to public opinion and if enough feel threatened by it we all start to notice. Its not for people of the left to tell them they are imagining it and should just accept it, its for them to find a way to make it work.

My opinion exactly. Religion should have no place in education; it should be a choice and not forced on people!

Seriously no religious education? Do any of you know what religious education involves?

It's about understanding, tolerance and love.

I'm not religious at all but learning about all religions is a good thing

I raised this point earlier, the argument is being made against faith schools, not against RE classes.

Can you post a link to substantiate this? My understanding is that in the eu benefits may only be claimed in the country one resides in. I would think that to claim uk benefits you would have to be registered in the uk. If people you know are registering their families here and claiming I reckon it is fraud. If what you say is correct why don't we have the whole unemployed population of Europe claiming uk benefits if ours are the best? What is to stop me registering in France and claiming benefits from the French whilst living here?

Of course you are absolutely right, and our 'friend' from Leeds is simply demonstrating a perfect example of the sheer ignorance of what I would imagine to be the majority of those who put an X in the UKIP box last week. All fuelled by the Daily Hate and the rest of our lovely ****-stirring right-wing media outlets.

    It's frightening, it really is

I lived in Leicester for 5 years (and certainly not in a 'WASP' dominated area). Somehow, even then, I never wanted anything to do with UKIP.
