YH Is Limousin pineau country? We became hooked on Pineau des Charentes about 30 years ago when our neighbour started a business importing it with french cheeses.
Scullyonthewing- I live in the Vienne which is part of the Poitou Charente region where the Pineau comes from. It is made in Charente, Charente-Maritime and to some extent in the Dordogne, so not where Yorkie has his house. Another day out and about down on the Spanish border, but tomorrow I return home and hope that all is well with the vegetable crops. My daughter was going to do any watering that was required, but I think that there was more than enough rain to help out.

One of my colleagues is from the Vienne, and my ex-father-in-law lives in the Charente Maritime. I'll be at his place for a week in August, and jerzeypie will be there from the end of June to early September, except for when he comes over to get his A level results and collect me to take me down there.

Horrible day tomorrow. It is the 3 monthly trip to London for Mrs L's CT scan to assess the progress of her cancer - as always she is terrified of the day and does not relax until she gets the results in the follow up trip on Monday.
As I am sure you must be aware Leo, all of us here hope that things go well for you both tomorrow and this wretched thing is kept under control.
Hope the results are positive Leo. Lost one partner to cancer and the current Mrs H has been clear for 5 years now but it still preys on your mind. All of us are rooting for you.
