Galatasaray are interested Kostas Mitroglou, according to reports from Turkey, as they look to replace Didier Drogba. £11m is being talked about! Source: http://www.clubcall.com/fulham/turks-to-pay-11m-for-fulham-flop-1726982.html
If what cottager says turns out to be true I would personally be more than happy, to see him go, and hopefully end Fulhams continuance with purchasing the walking wounded, and constantly injured.
It would be good to get our money back, but I'd still be disappointed to see him go before we actually get to see what he can do. There's a difference between someone who is injury-prone and someone who has had a bad few months with injuries. Unless someone has more information about Mitroglou's injuries over the last few years, we don't know which he is.
Well, according to Wikipedia this season was almost his lowest number of appearances (22 in all competitions - 19 for Olympiakos and 3 for us). His only season lower was 2010/11 when he made 21 appearances (but again didn't play the full season for one club). He had 18 & 15 appearances in 07/08 & 08/09 respectively but he was only about 19 then so was probably coming through into the first team. Outside of these years he plays about 40 - 45 games a season. Guess we were just unlucky.
According to SkySpots Olympiakos are intrested in Pajtim Kasami. They are reporting a possible fee of £8m and with only 1 year left in his 4 year contract, would have thought this would be more than tempting for the Club.
As others have said, I'd like Kasami to stay, but wasn't expecting us to keep him. If he's only got a year left and we're being offered £8m, that's a great price. We should spend a chunk of that money on an experienced central midfielder to complement our various youngsters.
With 12 months still left on his contract Marcello Trotta has submitted a transfer request in a bid to force a move away from the Cottage. Full story: http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...ulham-striker-marcello-trotta-submits-7207364
Fulhaman's Sevilla are reported, among others including Crystal Palace, as being interested in Kieran Richardson: "Europa League champions Sevilla are understood to be interested in Fulham's Kieran Richardson as a replacement for Alberto Moreno." Torn now. Don't particularly want him to leave as he was coming on nicely under Felix but wouldn't mind him down at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan either.
Not strictly on the books but we have a part ownership in Danny Hoesen. He was transferred today from Ajax to FC Groningen. My understanding is that we will pocket £300k from the deal, which is not a lot but nonetheless adds to the transfer kitty. The Club has said it's open to offers for Marcello Trotta. please log in to view this image Link to pic: http://ts3.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.607993152533104358&pid=15.1 "Fulham are willing to listen to offers for wantaway striker Marcello Trotta. The Italy U21 international slapped in a transfer request last week in a bid to force a move, with his contract at Craven Cottage approaching the final 12 months and no extension on the table. Trotta has made just three substitute appearances for the Whites, spending most of his time out on loan at west London rivals Brentford." And no real surprise, Maarten Stekelenburg has hinted he could leave this summer. please log in to view this image Link to pic:http://ts3.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.608030785043303670&pid=15.1 "On the 25th I report back to Fulham because I am still under contract there for three years," he told De Telegraaf. And indicated he is ready to jump ship rather than play in England's second tier. The Dutch international made 21 appearances Cottagers last season after his move from Roma. However,as we know he failed to live up to expectation and was replaced by David Stockdale towards the end. The threat to his position as No.1 keeper is as likely a reason for him wanting to move - as per his situation at Roma!!
A glimmer that Chris David might stay: "Dutch midfielder Chris David is ready to shun the chance of a return to FC Twente to help Fulham regain their Premier League status. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder joined Fulham from Twente in January 2013 and recently admitted that the possibility of returning 'home' was interesting to him. He made his first-team debut against Crystal Palace on the final day of last season, scoring in a 2-2 draw but, following the departure of Steve Sidwell to Stoke and the impending transfer of Pajtim Kasami to Olympiakos, he could expect more chances under Felix Magath next season." Well it appears Brentford - the front runners for Trotta's signature - have ended their interest in him. "Brentford have cooled their interest in wantaway Fulham frontman Marcello Trotta. The Italy U21 international scored 13 goals in 40 games for the Bees last season as Mark Warburton’s men clinched promotion to the Championship. Trotta slapped in a transfer request last week in a bid to force a move, with his contract at Craven Cottage approaching the final 12 months and no extension on the table. Brentford enquired about Trotta's availability last month, but were told by Fulham he was not for sale, with new boss Felix Magath keen to cast his eye over the youngster during pre-season. However, the goalposts have moved with the Cottagers now willing to listen to offers after the 21-year-old told them he wanted to quit the club. But Get West London understands the Bees have already turned their attentions elsewhere in a bid to boost their firepower, with a move for Trotta now looking dead in the water." Link: http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/bees-pull-out-trotta-race-7259118 I don't think this means he's staying however. I'd expect interest from teams back in Italy and I believe he'll be off, unfortunately.
Trotta for me is not the answer to our goal scoring problems, so why keep him on the payroll, buy and promote from our younger squad that must be the way foward
