You bother because it generates four pages of responses, Swords. You bother because this is the kind of thing that gets you up and spurting. Not being part of 40,000 true fans waving flags, yelling themselves hoarse, fearing the worst, then hugging complete strangers when the dream becomes reality. Not the joy of promotion against form, performance and beating the odds.

We've had out run-ins, lord knows we have. and the one thing you've ALWAYS said about me, is that I'm consistent and honest in my comments. Well here's one now. Take it or leave it, but consider it. You're looking for a little humility. Maybe it starts at home. The one thing that rarely, if ever, is seen in your posts is that very quality you are berating others for apparently not showing. Why should the Redknapp-doubters and the Bobby-bashers display the very quality that you shy from?

Just a thought mate. Maybe you'd be taken more seriously here if you display a little humility and don't instantly go on the attack quite so often.

I don't know why everyone keeps saying I'm looking for an apology. I never mentioned that word once. What I was waiting for, and why I was holding off posting, was to see who'd be man enough to show even the slightest bit of humility. There's a huge difference. Having thought I'd witness some, I must say I was sorely mistaken.

Never mind me. I'm a bullshi*ter and a waffler and a w*nker most of the time to boot. I deserve all the contempt I get. Its the likes of Grifter I feel for. An inoffensive gentleman who's belief throughout the season was drowned out by the other w*nker's who love to shout their mouth off and bashed Harry and the team every waking hour. Where's the recognition for him from those loudmouth know-it-all's? There isn't any because their pride won't allow them accept they may have gotten something wrong. Never underestimate the power of a man's ego. It can turn him into a self-indulging tw*t in an instant.

People were sat here after we'd won the competition saying we were sh*t and boring. Away at Wigan and at Wembley. They don't understand that sometimes when games are like that, its not because the teams are sh*t, its because they're both very strong and cancelled each other out. I thought we were fantastic on Saturday. Hoilett in particular came in for large criticism but for what I do not know. Redknapp was a fool first of all for playing the MOTM Dunne, a fool for bringing on Bobby (he scored the winner btw), a fool for apparently listening to Clint Hill wanting to come off even though this has since proven to be incorrect and we won the final despite of the Manager instead of because of him. Have you ever heard such tripe? Guys with egg streaming down their faces are now saying that we "fluked" our way to promotion. If they had even the faintest notion of the nature of English football and the shambles our squad was in a year ago, they'd realise that fluking anything over a 46 game season was an impossibility. Everyone's favourite Wally without a Brolly Schteve McClaren said no other Manager could have turned around our Club in such a short space of time and I agree with him.

There's also a slightly sinister element to the Harry-bashing that I noticed this season. And that's plain old fashioned snobbery. He's a Geezer with an accent so he's easily mugged off. Wheeler Dealer 'Arry is out to do us all. The truth is, the poor kant was damned if he did and damned if he didn't by our armchair experts.

Next season we'll get more of the same. As soon as he loses a few on the bounce he'll be hung, drawn and quartered by the Loyal faithful on here. I'm not looking forward to it.

    What a farce.

Of course Swordsy...that is the reason. We are afterall, real uppercrust merchants here....don't want the EastEnd barrowboy to get the upperhand

I am just @@@@ed of I never got the prawn sandwiches that were on offer in club Wembley

Best to leave the Chelsea fan to it and continue to re-live that wonderful day on Saturday. I reckon I've replayed Bobby's goal about 50 times now!! ;)

You know what, Ive actually been pleasantly surprised by the board.

Theres hasnt been one "I bet youre gutted we went up" type comment directed at me or anyone who doesnt like the manager.

Of course there may be in the OP but Ill never see it.
The best thing to do is put him on ignore.

I admit it I had to look amadan up in my online dictionary. This is what it came up with

    a·ma·dan
    [ah-muh-dawn]
    noun Irish.
    fool.
    Origin:
< Irish amadán, diminutive (with suffix -án ) of amaid a foolish woman < *anmed y witless (< *an-man-t-i; cf. mental1 ), crossed with *ameth (< *ambi-bito-; compare Old Irish baéth foolish) very foolish

So amadan is a foolish maid/woman
No who are you chatting about here swordsy...must be me....I am a foolish woman, but not technically a maid.

I think you have lost us here

I was in the same block as this 'amadan' on Saturday (501) although I didn't find that out until afterwards. I really regret not knowing, because I would have definitely sought him out to shake his hand. We differ in our opinions, we all know that. But I would have gladly shook his hand and bought him a beverage, because why wouldn't I? We're both there out of love for QPR, and there's no way he wasn't as ecstatic as I was at the end of the game.

Whilst walking around before the match and at half-time, I didn't see anyone that appeared at all deranged (we all know DT wasn't there, but there wasn't anyone else is what I mean!) so he's not mad, just opinionated. Not unlike certain others on here, Swords....

    Me too Col!

The goal, The celebrations, Clint Hills post match emotion filled interview, all of it enough to bring a tear to the glass eye of any hardened QPR fan :)

For the record I didn't think we'd do it throughout the season and once in the play off final I thought (as some others did) that Derby might well come out on top, but I guess that just makes the victory even sweeter and doesn't have me analysing my right to support the team , just the fact I'm a bit of a pessimist!! ;-)

That amadan, please get your word usage correct Swordsy...you are confusing....you are talking about Flyer.

(other than to me he is unlucky to see before a match, but that is just a silly superstition...which is not even technically right...because we went to Doncaster together, and saw a last minute winner....ahh a light flashes on in this amadan's brain...last minute winner????!!!)

Flyer is blue and white hooped through and through....just like the other 37,000 on our side of the stadium.
And as I keep saying....he knows his football, through and through...which is more than can be said for some on this board

Fu*k this, close this thread down boys. I thought it might have been a good opportunity for us all to purge ourselves of our grievances after a turbulent season so we'd all be fresh and ready to go again for the upcoming campaign. It didn't work out as I had envisaged. Its been a total car crash.

Lock it up lads and be done with it.
