I like Lallana and I think he's a player who could alternate with the likes of Coutinho - in that sense, he improves squad depth but not the first team quality. But £25m ... whoa. James Pearce from the Echo says we will not go above £25m whilst Soton want £30m. I could stomach £20m but £25m taking the p*ss. Also, a deal between Can and Liverpool is still someway off and the player is likely to make a decision in the next couple of weeks.

True but Sanchez would command massive wages - wages are the real costs but they get hidden under the 'headlining transfer fee'. But yeah, I would prefer Sanchez as well Personally, Shaqiri and Kono would be perfect - two versatile players, relatively cheap (probably £25m in total) would represent great value.
I still can't believe all the players we're being linked with are AM's and wingers! We need a defensive overhaul for **** sake. New LB, new CB, maybe even new RB if Flanno and Wisdom aren't enough. Urgh.

I'd be happy with Moreno at left back. Bertrand is gash. Lovren is decent at the right price. Caulker is a good back up.
