As the once mighty Vettel is wavering in the sidelines, the battle has become intra-team rather than inter-team. Senna vs. Prost? No, that was another event in a long gone era..... This is Hamilton vs. Rosberg (Michael would have handed it to both of them) please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Coverage 6th -8th June 2014 LIVE ON THE BBC! Temperature on the title race has been turned up. Cannot believe Happyal has been right 6 times out of 6.
I'm going to go for Nico. This is going to be a battle and hopefully a good one that goes down to the wire. Hopefully we will be lucky enough to see a race end similar to the last few, I just think this time neither we be as lenient with each other as they were last time. Hope it's a cracker with both fireworks on and off the track.
Sparks flying would definitely make this season even more tasty. I do think Lewis has a great chance though, if he can keep his temper in check.
Button to win in a 2 hour, rain soaked downpour with warring Mercedes taking each other out, Renault gremlins getting the better of Red Bull, and Alonso and Raikkonen in the wall of champions. Joking aside, it will be interesting to see if they are cautious with the torque and staying away from the wall? Depending on whether Rosberg can keep tabs on Hamilton, there is the chance one of them might push too hard. Track should see McLaren fighting around the fringes of the podium as they are okay in a straight line and the slower corners, so this is a track that will work to their few strengths. Apparantly Austria and Silverstone will see upgrades for them and will be a good time to judge them- for better or for worse! Ferrari are better on the higher speed circuits- any talk about upgrades for them?
Yes, there are bringing a big update to improve engine performance so they should be better in Canada.
Race speed traps: 2013: Hulk - 321.6kph 2012: Perez - 328.7kph 2011: Webber - 321.6kph 2010: Petrov - 324kph 2008: Kovalanien - 323.6kph 2007: Kovalaninen - 327.8kph 2006: Schumacher - 326.3kph Wonder if we'll crack 330kph this year? 200mph = 321.9kph 210mph = 338.0kph
Lewis does tend to go very well here, so can't see past a win for him provided he keeps his head, and keeps out of the Wall of Champions........... Less escape roads for Rosberg to run up as well
Im in a league of my own. had to gamble again to get level with happyAl plus im the chairman of his not606 fanclub so ROSBERGFTW
One thing I hope to see this time round is a merc duel without using engine settings to stay ahead. DRS is also quite effective here
I don't understand why they even have the setting available to them if they're not supposed to use it. They've both used it now so they should both be punished with blank steering wheels so they can't do nothing
I think the settings are those that use the engine to the max, for quali and overtaking. When they're just fighting with each other, I think both drivers were told to turn the engine down a few notches to preserve them. But when under pressure, having a switch that adds more power is going to be pretty irresistible!
I don't think Lewis turning his engine up contrary to orders is anything bad, he was under pressure and he wants to win. Same as Vettel in Malaysia 2013 I think. Them 25 points are valuable. One thing for sure is the racing is going to get dirty. I'm going for Hamilton here, but I just hope the pressure does not get to him and he cocks up.
