Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.

I dont rate him, it wasnt his Team he built, he inherited it from all the great work Nigel Adkins did

Maybe Saints will go back after Adkins. Reading dont look like a PL club anymore and rumours of a cash crisis.

Nigel Adkins would be a great choice for the Saints and a popular one.

    Has Pochettino been sacked yet?

This is usually how long Levy gives managers.

How many of the 5 years will MP get ? I suspect that for once Levy will have had to give into MP demands.

Sit back and watch the forthcoming implosion.

He won't be given enough time.

Spurs pissed tens of millions on ****e and don't have a massive budget any more.

Levy has no patience and won't accept mid-table next season.

He won't be there in a year's time.

    FACT.

MP inherited a fantastic youth Southampton team that had just started to mature, any half decent manager could of done what he did, they should of gone all out for Klopp

He likes home grown hungry players. Will Livermore with his impressive season under his belt be in the new managers plans????

I don't get that at all. Even taking into account he inherited most of the players, he did MUCH better with these same players than Adkins did. So surely that makes him a better manager?

100% correct. Players responded to him. He will be missed by the team and supporters, replacing him with someone who can produce will be hard. Adkins had it all, but did not know how to deliver the same type of football.
At first everyone felt that Adkins sacking after he had done so much, was unfair, but ask folks down here if they think the same now.

It'll be interesting to see if, now he's at a bigger club with media demands 100 fold that of Saints, he gets away with not doing interviews in English. He clearly can speak English, he just so far has chosen not to in front of the media.

A bit o/t but who was the manager who arrived last season, unable to speak a word of English, spent all his spare time off the training ground learning the language and within mere weeks was doing press conferences and interviews in English?

    Admirable.

Levy will EXPECT Champions League by 2015/16 latest, if its not on the cards he'll be lucky to see out a season and a half! Surprised they've given him a 5 years contract given Levys record

Was it Pellegrini when he came to Man city? Or was it 11/12 season?

Met Pellegrini at Manchester airport last week, a real gent. Surrounded by Man City fans and stopped for photos etc with all! No early morning brekkers for him before he jumped on a Monarch flight back to Malaga.

If Spurs are away off the top 4 by January then the big bang could happen early. In fact Levy could be part of the big bang.

I suspect that Levy is also in the last chance saloon. Pocchitino has not gone down all that well with many Spurs fans. Lol.
