I was hoping we'd get the best available coach and I don't think we have.

I don't often agree with you TMT, but on this occasion I most certainly do.

A bland choice. If the guy is so scared witless of talking in English in his media interviews when at Southapton, then he can surely be incapable of handling the pressure of being in charge at Tottenham.

Another uninspiring appointment.

We all want to watch better football so I guess we have a plus there. However, I see MoPo as a typical Levy appointment. He will do well to survive Daniels itchy finger. Levy would have probably sacked Pelligrini at Christmas had he been Citeh's chairman. Furthermore, what gets MoPo's goat is a chairman who sells the clubs best players . Levy doesn't have a particularly good record in that department does he?

I hope I'm wrong but I get a feeling of impending doom unless MoPo gets off to a flying start.

Levy got an extra season out of Modric and Berbatov and our recent record for selling players really isn't all that bad. In his time at Espanyol they sold players totalling £53mill and spent £22mill replacing them. At Southampton they're facing the prospect of losing at least 2 key players this window, whilst we've sold only 2 key players in the last 10 transfer windows.

I don't think you can compare Celtic and the SPL with Ajax and the Dutch league Boss. Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven and others provide more competition than Scottish rivals of Celtic ie I can't think of one.

Thanks O. Spurcat.

Thor you're underestimating how good Inverness Caley Thistle are. Plus there is the mighty Aberdeen.

Yeah I guess there's that, no Lennon, no Moyes and no Pulis, it could have been worse.

The manager who had a better win rate with Palace then Pochettino had with saints, Rodgers with Swansea and Martinez with Wigan? Silly mistake there to talk down Pulis (premier league manager of the year).

Neil Lennon would be a good choice at a lower PL club like Aston Villa or Sunderland but not Spurs and I can't imagine why Pulis was even mentioned. Moyes certainly not.

Lennon has CL experience and a winning mentality. Proven at a high pressure job and isn't shy. Maybe we missed a chance to bring in the right man.

Ahem... in your opinion perhaps but I cant say I agree at all. I'd regard Bale, Modric, Berbatov, van Der Vaart and Carrick all as key players in the last ten years minimum. Arguably, I feel letting go of the likes of Defoe, Keane, Caulker, Kaboul (to Pompey before his return)... heck even Zamora, Iversen and Sherringham as also poor decisions at the time in the past ten years (given their circumstances). Two players....? I think you're being a little lenient.

True but Levy failed to replace Modric in successive transfer windows, which hampered our development and lead to us having to sell Bale because we did not achieve CL football. If you sell a key player he has to be replaced or the team suffers. I'll give him his due, he tried to build a new team with the Bale money but making that many changes all at once is likely to fail. He would have done better to sign a couple of £40M players.
