Apparently tikitaka Rodgers has been offered an extension of his contract with the RS. GREAT news. When mid table clubs like the RS come so close to a title without winning it, the next few seasons are pretty poor. The RS themselves , the magpies and other clubs have shown that over the years. The expectations will weigh heavily on the poor sod http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...s-extension-with-reds-until-2018-9435593.html
Pure irony considering Rodgers finished 20points ahead of TWO Utd managers last season and played his part in helping them to a midtable finish.
Looks like Pochettino is going to be the new Spurs manager, that means Shaw will be leaving Southampton then.
Next season is a new and different situation. The RS had a great opportunity and a combination of Brenda and Stevie (the best premiership ever player ) contrived to f**k it up and snatch a runners up medal from the jaws of glory. That collapse by the RS will for me more than compensate the **** season which United have had. PS: Have we heard anymore about Stevie being the best premiership player ever or this is now dead in the water??
Rodgers in 2 seasons has took us from 8th to title challengers and the CL, he's already got a head start on the Dutchman who's gotta start from scratch.
The RS would have won it with any other manager apart from Brenda. He lost it completely: attacked the chavs when a single point would have left in Control and told his players that an 11 minimum GD with City could be caught The muppet cost them the title.
So, if Brendan has a head start and the Dutchman has to start from scratch, will there be a reasonable excuse for United finishing above Liverpool next season
