And also, Turkey Lurkey, the sky is going to fall in. Just heard it from Chicken Lickin on twitter.....
We'll get a manager. We could do a lot worse than McClaren. Some of the other names being thrown around are terrible, but McClaren is proven and plays football the right way. We have no divine right to challenge for Europe, mid table would still be okay next year if used as a building year. I don't understand quite why people are freaking out just yet.
New season with new manager some our top players gone we be using more players coming through our academy set-up for first team finishing mid table next season or end up in Championship if we have McClaren
I know I know. We were all devastated when Adkins left and I definitely don't feel the same. I had no affinity with poch but liked what I saw. What bothers me is were not being linked with anybody excitin, players or manager.
Can't be arsed to read anything on this thread but may I just say I'm quite excited, am I the only one? Nothing quite like a bit of uncertainty to get the adrenaline going! Thanks Poch for the great season and a half, here's to the next season and a half before we go through this all over again!
Five years ago we were on the brink of extinction. That was a crisis. We survived and had a great time doing it. Today we lost a manager who has only been with us for one full season during that time. That hardly makes him a legend or his departure the end of the world. It was the team that put those points on the board not Mauricio Pochettino and not just the stars that fascinate the redtops on an hourly basis. The team, 11 fantastic players giving their all on the pitch week in week out. He was lucky enough to be handed a squad on a silver platter. Let's not forget the work that Adkins put in building that squad that Mauricio Pochettino was able to use the enhance his own questionable reputation. It will be interesting to see how he lives up to the hype now he is under the Levy microscope.
So pochettino had no input? And the players all loved him and wanted him to stay even though he didn't bring anything to the table? *facepalm*
Well our players bought into the style. The hard work. The one higher profile signing, Osvaldo, didn't succeed with the style. I don't see all the Spurs players being happy about double training sessions, and a high pressing game. I can't see it working out, but we'll see.
