As we've been punished with a £10.000 fine we we will not be punished again for that offence, and it was OUR Chairman who alerted the FA. Desperate and pathetic and i hope Rovers nevetr get back into the football league! <laugh>

I think our boardroom are clutching at straws when they should be concentrating on sorting the club out for next season. Another distraction we don't need.

Just seen the latest cock up by Bristol Rovers how an earth can selling a player 4 seasons ago effect us by staying up this season. It looks like the board of the Rovers are trying to distract attention when the team got it wrong on the last day. The Gas comments are more than correct. The fixtures are released on the 18th June.

guys please read our comments on our thread before coming over and spouting crap. thought we all got on. if you actually read the comments we are all in agreement with you. no need to come over and moan at us. it aint us, its our board of directors who are doing it.

according to the bbc, your fine was just for breaking rules regarding agents and NOT third-party ownership, which is what rovers directors are unhappy with http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27589873

according to sky sports, the agent involved with the matt phillips deal and his agency claim there has been 3 OTHER players which you havent been punished for yet. were these players involved this season? i dont know as i dont know who these players are. however the agent and agency does know and they are working with rovers directors. here is what the agency has said about it all which is pretty damaging to wycombe http://www1.skysports.com/football/...rst-artist-say-agent-ban-is-a-grave-injustice

also here is the letter of complaint that has been sent to wycombe and the FA which gives all the reasons behind the complaint. notice at point 9 (page 5) it requests certain info from wycombe by 5pm tomorrow if they dont get it then further action would be taken!! to save your time, out of the 5 pages just read page 1 points 1-3 and then pages 4&5 points 4-9. it is a good read to see what is actually going on as previously all we had was just club statements to go on. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/documents/fl-let235-1575808.pdf

to me going by our club statement, its embarrassing the my club is doing this. stinks of sour grapes and desperation. they should look at themselves and investigate our own clubs shortcomings instead of investigate your club. it looks like the agent and his agency has approached rovers though with some evidence which could cause issues your end.

im only giving the above links for your info as you have questioned why rovers are doing like us gasheads have but the info has now come out which may explain things. certainly going to be interesting <ok>

This all came to light 9 months ago when Blackpool were selling Matt Philips to QPR but didn't want to pay the sell on clause they owed Wycombe which Wycombe's new owners us the fans (Trust) owed to the previous owner Steve Hayes who is renowned for his dodgy dealings (see phone hacking inquiry) one of his doggy deals was to never give the club any money but just loans which he wanted back when the Trust (fans) took control so all sell on clauses were to be paid to Hayes and he would pay any agents fees involved how the robbing was alowed to get away with this god and the FA only knows the stumbling block was that Blackpool and QPR didn't want the previous arangment so a flat fee was paid as far as i know to Hayes to get rid of any sell on fee it was then up to Hayes to pay the agent which he obviously didn't do. As far as I'm aware all the sell on clauses on players from our now ex-academy have been removed so there are no third party involvement exists. The only wrong doing WWFC Trust is guilty of is naivety so be wary of so called rich owners Technically sell on clauses are third party ownership I hope this clarifies it somewhat
The other players involved were also ex-academy players who were sold in Hayes's fire sale Kadeem Harris to Cardiff and Jordan Ibe to Liverpool so if anyone is in breach of FA third party rules it must be Blackpool, Cardiff and Liverpool lets see who has the best lawyers

lol, you should be snoozing on the job at that time!
From reading many articles on this subject on a number of websites & forums. It seems that this isn't going to go anywhere far. If we are to believe that the debt to Hayes from sell on's was confirmed to the football league during the trust takeover. I fail to see how they can suddenly take action on that subject.
Understand the desperation of the BRFC board and the anger from the agent as his earning have been suspended for 6 months, but sounds like we have been whiter than white from a trust perspective if you believe what you read.
My only hope is that this doesnt drag on and put off any potential signings / contract renewals and also that it doesnt cost us some exortionate sum in legal fees

We've recently signed several centre backs which pours fuel on the rumour that Winfield is heading back your way. He didn't prove too popular towards the end of the season, especially after trying to head a ball while lying on the ground in the penalty area causing a foul...

    Investigation will take place

Bristol Rovers FC has received responses from both the Football League and the FA to its allegations concerning the competitive advantage Wycombe Wanderers obtained from breaching Third Party Investment Regulations.

Both the FA and the Football League have indicated they take the allegations seriously and shall be investigating them without further delay. Wycombe Wanderers FC have failed to respond.

The allegations relate to payments made and agreements in existence during the last season in which Bristol Rovers was relegated on goal difference.

The Club reserves all it rights following the investigations under way by the FA and the Football League.
