At the end of the day, to a foreign manager especially Spurs will always appear the more attractive/bigger/better club. He's had his head turned and seemingly there has been very little the board could do. Or, they didn't make assurances and he chose to leave.
How dare MoPo leave us for a club with more ambition, better players and probably a better salary in order to progress in his career!

You can hold a player to his contract because if he doesn't perform, you don't play him. A reluctant manager can undermine you....best to take compo and get someone in who wants to be here.
rumours though unfounded had us offering him twice the salary he is supposed to be getting at spurs and it is only 50% more than he's on at the moment. doesn't apepar to be the same as footballers moving to liverpool and getting multiples of their salary. the rest certainly may be assumed to be true.
