Ceballos and Coulibaly (among others) qualify as homegrown this year, Bentaleb and Veljkovic will next year. What I'm trying to work out though is Kaboul's status: he's listed as retained on the Premier League site, which would mean that we agreed to extend his contract. However, you'd think the club would've mentioned this, given the rumours from a few weeks back of him leaving at the end of the season.
Looks like vertonghen could be staying... http://www1.skysports.com/football/...jan-vertonghen-not-seeking-tottenham-transfer
Does that mean he was always going to stay and we confused his general moody appearance and "I don't give a **** expressions" for just his natural look? looks that way and possibly another nail in the coffin of the TWITter ITK's.
He might actually know what's going on with our managerial appointment and approve of who's coming in or he might just be saying the right things and considering a move anyway. Wouldn't read too much into it.
I always thought we were just projecting that onto him, it seemed just as likely to me that his body language and facial expressions were of someone angry with himself for the mistakes he was making.
Verts was one of the Dim Sherwood "If he stays I go" club, so it's not a coincidence he's saying this now.
and take over when fat sam is sacked for failing to play the "west ham way". Was anyone alive to remember this famous style of football hammer fans moan they should be playing?
"Apparently Sheringham is to become The spammers new striker coach." He should be working at Spurs. Teddy would hone the nous of Kane et al big time.
Les Ferdinand was linked with that role last week. Was it the sound of popping champagne corks that made them change their mind?
Updated the front page with those released and those back from loans. If there's anyone I've missed let me know - I wasn't sure about Grant Ward out in the MLS so I missed him off.
If i was 'Arry i would be too. 4-5 of those players could be VERY useful for a club just coming up to the prem.
So how are we going to spend the €8m CL-winning clause in Bale's contract? Or is that going to cover the compensation for Pochettino, his backroom staff, and his translator?
christ ... are we so certain he will be sacked that we are already putting the compensation money aside?
Reports said we'd have to stump up and extra £4m to bring in Pochettino's coaching staff, which is his assistant, first-team coach, goalkeeping coach and technical support coach. If that means Freund and Ferdinand are out the door, that'll be money well spent. Hopefully Ramsey stays with the academy - although it'd be a shame if Tony Parks got the chop.
