Mouser Watch #2

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, May 26, 2012.

  1. Luis Suarez, 26, has told his Liverpool team-mates he plans to stay at Anfield and lead next season's pursuit of the Premier League title.

This is a "come and get me" plea to Real, if ever I heard one.

    I agree..its a bit obvious that one.

What next...I bet he signs a new contract...which is the equivalent to the dreaded vote of confidence.

If get real Madrid had lost the CL, then Perez probably would have pressed La Marca "unsettle" button.
So I think common sense will prevail over there this summer.
Though seeing Bale pick up a CL medal in his first season playing nowhere near his
    consistent best must be grating.

I can clearly see how you come to that conclusion, genius.

So what do you lot think about Pochettino being your new manager (probably) a young manager with very little experience in the PL? He could do well but it's a risk.

I think with Levy's backing..Pochettino will have the chance to establish a long tenure at Spurs.

so he may well last till January.

Mauricio Pochettino has been named as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur on a five-year deal.

5 year deal - that's a massive risk. If it doesn't work out, he'll get a massive pay out. Typical Levy, ****ing clueless. Give him a couple of years, see what happens and extend if going well.

With Levy in charge, you learn not to get too attached to managers...

Always a risk getting a manager who will so keenly leave his club to move to someone slightly bigger. Could be a no win situation. If he does badly then you do badly. If he does well will he jump ship to move if someone slightly bigger than you comes in?
(I am fully aware you could also say this about BR leaving Swansea for us?)
Personally from whats available out there I think you have made the right choice. young and hungry is always better than just a big name. Think he will have the same kind of impact Martinez has had at Everton

Reasonable assessment of the situation, IMO. I just hope that we give him a bit of time and space, as you guys seem to have done with Rodgers.

Rodgers "impact" came in his 2nd season with us, Martinez made an impact at the blues in his 1st season at Woodison.:emoticon-0103-cool:

    Martinez > Rodgers.

Everton's problem is that if he continues to do well then Martinez will be offered either the Barcelona or Real Madrid job within the next 3 years imo.

Rodgers doesn't really have a bigger job available to him than Liverpool so he will stay there as long as they want him.
