Anyone know when they will be on sale? The earlier they get them out the more they will sell following on from the euphoria of Sat. I probably would have paid anything Sunday morning!!? I hope they keep sensible with prices now though and not make same mistake from last time we went up.
Clubs put the prices up when we go up, keep them the same when we go down and say we've got more games to see. Then put them up again when we get promoted despite having 4 fewer games. It will be interesting to see if we buck the trend. Clubs are as bad as oil or gas companies!
I was just gonna start a thread on the subject...... So how many of our 40k loyal fans, who were at Wembley on Saturday, are gonna be shelling out for ST's ? Or even memberships ?? I know a lot of people have very good reasons for not getting one (travel/finances etc) but it does irk me a bit to see all those 'fans' on Saturday, proclaiming their love for our team, when they can't even be bothered to support us day to day in the Championship. And that's not meant as a pop at anyone on here.
Well, I wasn't there on Saturday, but I will be getting an ST for next season. And before I am accused of glory hunting, I said as much on here before we even got into the playoff final, and would have got one even if we had stayed in the Championship. Didn't have one this season because I wanted to support my boy playing rugby. He's off to Uni (hopefully) in the autumn, so I'll be down the C & S on a regular basis........ I expect a price rise, but remember there was a substantial and very welcome cut for this season, and I don't expect them to get up to the previous level. There's really no excuse for a 'real' fan not to get a membership. They were only £20 or so for this season, its a small gesture of support to the club. And you got a rather camp 'tote bag' and a triffic hat to take around the world..... Roller, fancy joining me in the top of the Loft next season?
A ST for me unrealistic living near Sheffield but will take a membership this year. Might help slightly in getting away tickets.
We have a lot of fans who live away from LR, its tough having a ST if youre outside London. There were also a lot of mates of fans as well. The thing is we won't be getting those people with a new ground, we will be getting people in the area who will be new fans because its tough to buy a decent seat with the family at LR.
Whoa!! They did put then down substantially when we went down. Mine went down by about £160. I am expecting at least a 15% hike.
If you are an existing ST member or a member you'll get an email from the cub soon about when the windows open. There will be ST renewals first, members wanting an ST second, then open sale. Not sure about ST/Members wanting additional tickets. If you are neither an existing ST holder nor a member, keep an eye on the offish for news, though I am sure someone will post on here when they see something. Kicked off sometime in June last year if I recall correctly.
Great, well we've already bucked the trend on that one, I was speaking in general rather than just us but its fair enough if they go back up then. I don't think anyone can complain about that.
Tango and Cash did exactly what you outlined - not surprising. As I recall it was one of the things Amit was unhappy with (as far as we can ever really know). I've got a feeling that TF will put them up but not to the same level that T&C did. Of course when we get to the new stadium, then that becomes a whole new scenario.
TF has been pretty consistently talking about his area of expertise from airlines in relation to the stadium - cheap and full, 'pricing to get 'bums on seats'. We can hope, and in London that strategy could well work.
It does make sense. One you are hooked then reasonable increments over a decade and with merchandise, hospitality etc the it all adds up to hopefully make us a solvent and profitable concern.
I am gonna be really presumptive here...can I join you two roughly around that area too I turned 60 this year and so get a special rate. Last year I know I couldn't do all matches because of travelling for work, and as a full price, it was not cost effective...this year it would be. Yes you can call me a hussy...
I can't make most weeks due to other commitments (work, family, gigging etc) but will most likely be getting a membership again this year.
It would be a privilege Beth. I'll apologize once and for all time about my language now though, to get it out of the way. I'll let you know what seat I'm going for, but its likely to be the one I had before top row of MU block, seat 170 something. There are some good blokes around there. Hopefully Roller's daughter finishing Uni will free up some dosh for him to spend on himself, though he seemed to have been at a lot of this season's games too.
