Who's the guy from Basel? He would be my choice. Don't know his name, but they always seem to punch above their weight in Europe. They also play in an attractive, but 'in your face' style which sound familiar.
If he is, or has been given the push by AC Milan, I would love to see Clarence Seedorf appointed as the SFC manager!!
I trust Les Reed to make the right appointment, after all, his last three choices haven't been too shabby.
His records at Wolfsburg, Forest, and even Twente second time certainly don't talk for themselves. Look at the guy - is that really a Saints manager? Don't have a clue where the support for this guy comes from. It scares the life out of me that he's being considered. Saints should not be considering any of the standard managers who get linked to every club vacancy. Is a good reason why McClaren never ends up staying anywhere for long.
No need to panic...most of these managers are only being discussed by the media, fans and people who place bets. I bet the board have it down to 2-3 already.
I'd go Rosler, Yakin, and - only since now being faced with McClaren, Lennon, Poyet etc. - now would consider Laudrup. Don't think he's that good, but his record for signings is great, and the names he can attract might be worth it. I am phoping against hope that this Board has decent taste, as if the press names reflect genuine Board feeling, this isn't boding at all well.
