Matt Upson never let anyone down for England Nugent 1 game 1 goal so to include him is laughable. The team should be for players like Tom Cleverley who is ****, plays **** but yet keeps stealing caps. Not for a 1 cap wonder
When they nominated Paul Scholes I turned it off. These people are ****ing idiots. Scholes was the best English player of his generation ffs.
There's plenty of garbage that get regular games- Danny Welbeck, for example, already has more caps than Kevin Phillips ever got, but he plays for Manchester United so we can't criticise him. Honest, hard-workers like Nugent and Konchesky are always going to be judged on their minuscule number of appearances. I didn't watch because I knew someone would go on about Heskey (did they?).
I was going to post about this! I don't think Konch was in the final XI but was mentioned. It was more about players who did memorably silly things than being ****; Konch seemed to be mentioned because of his mum's attack on the Scousers and Nugent for his goal pinching. Upson, however, was ripped apart in the 4-1 defeat to Germany. Scholes was mentioned for under-performing at international level (no-one can deny how good he was for United) but Vinnie Jones... the guy played for Wales! Dumb. FMF - don't think Heskey was mentioned (I did miss the very beginning). I thought he'd be (wrongly) included too!
