http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...ew-Brad-Rial/story-21138144-detail/story.html Excellent read from Brad Rial.
I've noticed Bradley has been writing stuff in the paper for a bit now. My question is this; Is Brad from Hull? I put it to the board that no one in Hull has ever been called Brad, and never will be. It just doesn't happen.
Really sums it up in a nut shell, I like his style of writing, credit to HDM for publishing his blog.
Excellent piece. In it Rial remembers some people, held the view that Curtis Davies was overpriced at £2.25m,and was no better than Jack Hobbs. Does Brad use this forum i wonder ?
Hands up from me, I thought this ^^ at the time - we'd all seen CD playing for Birmingham & WB, he perhaps showed glimpses in games against us but nothing really to write home about; contrast that to Jack Hobbs for Leicester, I recall a 0-1 home defeat in 2011, early goal from Vassell and then superb defence inspired by an imperious Jack Hobbs for the next 80 minutes. Good to be proved wrong, as solid a defender as Hobbs is, Curtis Davies is next level.
Although I completely agree on Curtis I feel that we still should have kept Hobbs. We went on to play 3 at the back for most of this season and for a large part Chester was injured anyway. I would have felt much more confident with him rather than Bruce/McShane/Figueroa
Agree 100%, I'd have loved to have kept him; as I read it, JH left because Forest guaranteed him a regular start - rightly or wrongly at City he was no. 3 behind Davies & Chester, which says a lot about Hobbs tbh, it would have been really easy to pick up the Premier League payrise and play as and when required, which with the hindsight of Chester's injury, would have been quite a lot.
