Well the right back position was a complete landslide of votes for Nicky Hunt. Which to be fair was the right decision. A defender who went from the premier league to Accrington Stanley in about 2/3 seasons.... Congratulations Nicky Hunt! You make our Worst Ever Bristol City XI Team! please log in to view this image We now move on to Left Back. A bit like the goalkeeper section I've never seen any real terrible left backs, quite a few poor ones like Matthew Briggs but I think the worst Left Back I've seen at city is Ryan McGivern. Not terrible but certainly not great, I can remember when we went to Palace away just after Millen was sacked and McGivern was terrorised by Zaha, was quite painful to watch! So yeah my vote is McGivern, Over to YOU! please log in to view this image Worst Ever Bristol City XI -------Bo Andersson--------- N.Hunt------CB------CB-------LB RM------CM-----CM-------LM --------ST------ST-----------
Nicky Shorey for me, think left back has actually been one of our stronger positions for players, however, based on how highly rated this guy was, he just did not live up to his potential and never wanted to go down the wing so Nicky Shorey for me
ryan mcgivern, Mathew briggs, whenever Liam Fontaine or Nyatanga played there But genuinely we've done well in the left back position over the years, barnard, bell, mcallister
Recently it has to be Shorey. But just to be different and because I'm so long in the tooth, if I had any real ones, it must be Alan Hay, 1978-82. He was truly atrocious as a First and Second Division left back.
mcgivern, he was dog ****e.. funnily enough he was trending in the UK on twitter for having an absolute mare playing for hibs yesterday
Adam Green is my vote Agree that McGivern was bad My favourite question early in the season how on earth did that bloke (Shorey) win an England cap?
Shorey was awful considering that he had 2 England caps, but McGivern did come from Man C after all. McGivern it is then
What about Gary Sawyer, who was so good that he ended up at the Gas? Or further back Arsenal Legend Gus Caeser, he could even go in the centre back slot if needed.
normally like to accentuate the positive, but because of the expectations attached to him it must be shorey.
