That is about as close to meltdown as Godders gets. We're doomed I tell ya.

 

The majority of articles are written these days to increase hits on their pages. This is why they include as many key buzzwords and names in headlines as they can, to flag up on search engines. Obviously Lallana, Shaw, Southampton and Liverpool are currently the words getting these websites the most hits.

Irritating, but it's the way it is. None of these articles are written by decent journalists, only the ones trying to gain more attention.

No. Godders has the ability to lose it big-time. On the rare occasions it happens he tends to do it with a little style.
As I said before, my sympathies are with him. All the talk is about losing players and scenarios after the event, and yet not a single thing has happened, and the truth is probably somewhere that the players actually want to stay and they are all waiting for Poch to declare that he's staying too.

Another thing. Poch said earlier that Saints had come to the end of a 5 year project. Not true. A new 5 year plan was started by Cortese 18 months ago, like he said he would, and has since commented on again. So Poch is still in the middle of his strategy. Course, it all means bugger all now.

 

i mentioned that after cortese's interview. either poch wasn't privy to the new plan (doubtful), or the plan was abandoned with cortese's departure.

He didn't. I remember him saying a couple of years ago that he was going to shortly devise a new 5 year plan because Saints had got to the Prem 2 years ahead of schedule.

£25m should do.

 

That does sound a good deal, could say it's £10m for Clyne and £30m for Lallana. As much as I think both players are great, we have Chambers who has proven to be an adequate replacement for Clyne when needed, and with that money I think we could find a similar type player to Lallana and, with money left over (say £20m), can buy a top striker.

Alternatively, get Aaron Hunt for free and that then gives us £40m to strengthen elsewhere.

 

They won't sell everyone...10 million for Clyne...right, go out and buy another of his quality for that. Chambers won't play 90 mins, every game.

 

That would actually be £30m for Clyne, £10m for Lallana and therefore, £2.5m for Cherries

Why not go the whole hog, Clyne £40m and Lallana on a free.

I wouldn't sell clyne personally, he's immense. Two lose two of our back four as well as our most vital playmaker in one window would be suicidal
