I actually disagree. I think he thinks he's God's gift to the women of this world and takes every opportunity to let the world know it - hence the constant pruning, hair fixing and flexing. Not so much the villain as the poster boy.

 

And that is why the average football fan won't like him. Because 90% of men think other men (footballers or not) who show off, act the big man and flounce around with their top off telling the world how amazing they are, are complete dicks.

If he wasn't a footballer and you saw him down your local you'd want to punch him in the face

That's why a lot of people respect Messi for the way he goes about his football more so than Ronaldo.

If he was consciously "playing up to it" then I don't see how he can moan when people vote for Messi as the best player in the world as he surely would know he would rub people up the wrong way.

I genuinely don't think he realises what a twat he appears at times

 

Do you think him and Bale flex for each other in the changing room to improve their posture whilst oiled up? Maybe they comb their hair together too...

Rumour that ronaldo is giving him million euro bonus away to charity and tge non playing staff at madrid.

Rumour it may be but its almost certainly true and not the first time hes done such a thing.

On the pitch hes an ego maniac, a serial winner and the best footballer in the world. Off it hes shy as **** and a family man (see him celebrate with his brother?)

The flexing is odd but understandable in the circumstances.

Wish the premier league had players who wanted to win as much as ronaldo. Its lacking such stars.

Not at all, UIR boasted about Ronaldo being a charitable man and a good brother and I merely pointed out what a scumbag the most decorated player ever in England is by comparison, being good at football has **** all to do with being perfect in the real world.

 

That must make him the best footballer then. I guess Liverpool were the best team in Europe in 2005. Or Chelsea in 2012

All that award says is that he's been the form player of this year, it doesn't mean he is the best in the world. Was Scott Parker the best footballer in the premier league in 2011? Or Ryan Giggs in 2009?

 

A confused argument. Fluking a cup competition has **** all to do with the World Player of the year award . Ronaldo was a worthy winner of that award this year and is therefore the best player in the World based on the last 12 months - end of.

Yeah ok tobes, we had to qualify, play a preliminary round, get through the groupstages, get through the knockout stages and pull a three goal first half deficit back in the final before winning it on pens.
So yep what a fluke.

 

There's a difference between being the "best footballer in the world" and "footballer of the year". A massive difference in fact. I don't expect you to acknowledge that though. You deliberately ignored the Scott Parker & Ryan Giggs examples because they make a mockery of what you are saying. Being the best player in a certain year means nothing in regard to being the best footballer in the world, especially if the guy who usually wins it has been hampered by injuries and struggling for fitness. Messi is clearly the best footballer on the planet, anyone who thinks otherwise is either extremely biased (Man Utd fans, Real Madrid fans & Portuguese people), doesn't understand football or both.

I know you'll disagree with this because you love to argue and be pedantic but deep down even you know the truth. Messi is light years ahead of Ronaldo, and he is superior in most areas to Ronaldo.
