Big thing is Rosbergs extension. He has been with the team since day 1, this is pivotal mentally for Lewis. I'm not sure what their respective performances around Canada are.

He said this before Bahrain so his comments today aren't just a knee jerk to what's gone on this weekend.

Lewis has said today that he and Nico are not Friends just colleagues . As much as I feel circumstances has dealt Lewis a raw deal this weekend I feel his sportsmanship was lacking today, Nico has always held out a hand in congratulations to Lewis whenever Lewis has won this season, bit disappointed in Lewis today.

The W05 is awesome even with one of its driver driving with effectively one eye the charging RB10 never had a chance as out of the bends the W05 just pulled out enough gap to keep the Red Bull at bay. I cant see any team touching the Mercedes this season, I'm going for Mercs to win all races and destroy the Mclaren's record of 88.

I think that is significant. Also, it has often been commented on that McLaren was cold and clinical, but I doubt Merc environment will be any more fluffy and accommodating to Lewis's need to be loved. I say that with the greatest respect and not as a slight against his character. I think Wolf summed up the teams views when he stated they needed a new tool in the garage, "a crystal ball".

If Hamilton just showed an ounce of (can't find the word for it) that Rosberg did, not only would I like him, but it would help him in terms of his long term performance. The ball is in blondies court in ters of mind games.

Rosberg's rumoured extension. I haven't heard anything from driver or team, this seems to have come from Benson. There's nothing on Mercedes website, nothing on their Twitter from what I can see. I don't think Autosport reported it at all. You'd think Rosberg, Lowe, Lauda or Wolff would've been asked about it at some point over the weekend. Surely Mercedes would've made some sort of formal announcement if it's true.

The plan might have been to announce after quali but they decided that it would further damage Lewis's head even more so postponed the public announcement.

Nah the extension for Rosberg came in way before Benson said it. The story was originally said byAMuS in that Lauda expressed that both Rosberg and Hamilton have long term contracts with Mercedes.

Maybe it was a formality, a simple option clause on the original contract?

He needs somebody that can talk to him without being a sycophant and tell him how he comes across when he's acting like a berk.

Crazy thought on Twitter, are most Hamilton fans (the deluded ones) 15 year old girls or middle aged women named Helen?

And according to Ted Kravitz, Alonso's management team made an approach to Mercedes for a drive but Alonso's team was told " Alonso is a great driver but no thanks we are happy with our pair of drivers" .

Can't see why people are surprised at Hamiltons behaviour, the guy is a twat.

On a side note, WTF Raikonnenen and Bianchi? first one does the move he totally slagged Perez for doing, and the other one does a DoG move and hits him three times, putting him into the barrier and effectively ending his race. I guess when you are a ferrari driver and it's just a caterham you get a pat on th back for driving liek a banger driver.

Good drive by Nico, who once again proved how fast he is with a clear track ahead.

I will say, in Lewis' defence, that I think their relationship has always been closer to Lewis' version, friendly colleagues rather than friends who happen to be colleagues and their relationship has always been one of rivalry on track. Rosbergs words are probably part of the psychological warfare that always got to Mansell.
