The thing that always annoys me is when you get promoted and all of your decent player hand in transfer requests. Cairney always does this. The game is also too easy and has lots of flaws you can exploit. Pace is everything on that game, get a striker who has pace above 15 and finishing above 14 and your laughing your way to the league. Too many wonder goals are scored to, 35 yard screamers happen all the time. Some players refuse to even enter contract negotiations, even though they are very realistic targets.

Overall it's a fantastic game, but I hope they give the next one a major overhaul, the last 4 have been too similar.

Thanx for the summary, I don't have time to play it but it sounds addictive!

Ricardo, if you want an updated database (edited myself) with Dudgeon and Evans already at City on a permanent, players released, loans ended etc then give me your email address and I'll send you it. The database isn't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than starting a new game with outdated squads.

Generally agree with Sirius though, you can often make unrealistic signings (I brought in Reo-Coker and Upson on frees in my latest City save) but fail to sign the more realistic ones, and the prices of all transfers are massively inflated.

I've been an addict to CM and FM games since year dot but the last two have been absolutely sh!t! They have tried to make the game too realistic but the incessant press meetings and unrealistic events like leading 2-0 in the 4th minute of 4 minutes of extra time only to find your opponents score 3 goals in the 5th, 6th and 7th minute of extra time is nothing short of bullsh!t! In today's age of technology this game should be running like well-oiled clockwork but is fraught with bugs. Go on a days holiday the day of the game - you'll win 90% of your games - perhaps Nigel could take this advice?

some hull fans are concerned about chesters lack of height but one of the best centre backs england ever had was only 5 foot 11 tall his name was walker

The thing is Mckenna and Adebola aint improving on anyone as you stated Dudgeon improving on Dawson, we havnt had a targetman in comes Adebola, hes something we havnt had, a new dimension for the squad, same with Mckenna, an old experianced head to organise in the middle we havnt had one. so i dont go with your theory. i will say were missing commanding cb to play alongside chester, a goalkeeper and a left winger.

Hobbs, Guzan/Forster/Anyone and Ajose from United should wrap things up.

    Guzan/Oxley/Youth prospect?
    Dudgeon/Dawson
    Rosenior/Mcshane/Bradley
    Chester/Hobbs/Cooper
    Cairney/Mckenna/Harper/Koren
    Evans/Stewart/Barmby/Garcia/Ajose
    Mclean/Fryatt/Adebola/Simpson

With Possibly Ghilas/Olifinjana/kilbane/Cullen/Bullard still amongst us aint the end of the world decent squad id say.

If Ghilas/Bullard/Olifinajana and kilbane somehow **** off then im pretty sure we'l see more players in to further improve possibly Ayala and Kilkenny

We will see by the beginning of the season how NP feels about Chester as a centre back. I felt we lacked height which is why we brought Hobbs in. I also noticed when Sky did a tribute to Gary Neville, in his praise of him Fergie stated when he got to 16 - 17 he was a centre back but didnt grow enough (5" 11). Fergie said not big enough and unless he adapted he would be released. Neville made himself into the best right back in England.
Chester is going to have to adapt.

I think we'll lose at least three of the five we're trying to get rib of, I suspect Garcia will be gone next week and just in the name of accuracy, Bradley is a centre back.

Bradley is a beast. I really hope he keeps progressing because at his current rate, he'll play for the first team a few times this season.

One of the first comments on this was that we know Dudgeon is better than Dawson, and yet Adebola is unproven.

Complete bollocks. People just assume that Dudgeon must be as good as Stewart and Chester because he's come from Man U. He has a good pedigree I'm sure, but we know nothing about him at this level. It's far too early to assume that he'll be tearing the left wing up. At least watch him in pre-season before getting too excited.

Adebola and McKenna are two players we sorely need. There are better players we could have got, but we desperately need these positions filling as we have cack all to fill them at the moment.

After that we still need 2 centre backs, a creative midfielder and a left winger (and even then we'll only have one right back at the club) So I personally am worried that we will start the season without all of these positions covered, as it'd mean 8 signings in all, which is unlikely.

I'm still hoping that players will be brought in this week.
Think there will be a lot of player movements in the Championship during the first week of July when the free agents are no long getting paid.
It will hurry their decision making.

A Forest supporting mate of mine called me this morning, he said 'you bastard, you've signed my favourite player', he even called him Captain Fantastic.

I hope we do get a proper permanent captain, and not just a 'Oh look, Dawson's got the armband this week." sort of situation like last season.

Hi Brian, do the words "loyal" and "tiger" ring any bells to you by any chance or am I sniffing up the wrong tree?

The second you start the game give players like Cairney and Cullen a new contract running through to 2015. When you get promoted and they ask for a transfer at the start of the season tell them you'll look at it in the summer. They're happy for the season, and if you do well then they don't want one the next year.

Thanks for the offer, but to be honest I'm far enough into my current one that I'm sticking with it, the database is right as at the end of January. I might come back to you though because I could find I don't get much of a transfer kitty for next season. I've somehow managed toget the Allams to agree to improve the training facility, the youth facilities, and buy the KC so we can develop it in future, and all three are due for completion at the end of the season I'm in.

Never happens to me, you're not trying to finish games with the team playing to the same instructions they started it are you?

Can you explain to me where the 5th,6th and 7th minutes of extra time came from? There were 4 minutes designated which were played with no stoppages or injuries. There are more injuries and bugs in this game then there are flies in Australia. One on ones hardly ever result in a goal and that brilliant move where your striker gets put through on an open goal but then sportingly puts the ball into touch because one of your players is lying injured way back in your own half - oh yeah, this game is real all right!

As I'm not working from watching your game I'll have to use real world practices. Anything over 4 minutes but less than 5 minutes is indicated as 4 minutes stopppages. Score in those extra seconds (and there's your 95th minute goal) and to allow for the time the ball is out of play another 30 seconds is added. If you were originally due to have 4.45 added you'd now be due to have 5.15. Score in those 15 seconds (96th minute goal) and another 30 seconds are added. You're due to play 5.45 (unless the ref feels you're timewasting on the goals) and usually the whistle is blown the first opportunity after that point that the ball is cleared to a neutral point. If they were attacking at that point, pinging in crosses and shots a referee would be unlikely to blow, take 20 seconds and score with it and as soon as kick off is taken that's it. I'd be more worried by your ability to concede 3 goals so quickly than the refereeing involved because a bug should affect all of us and it's the first time I've heard that complaint. Other than Arsene Wenger after the Liverpool game. Does it happen to you a lot?

I wouldn't know about the striker one, I just sign strikers that score a lot so they're usually cheating gits who worry about sporting behaviour after they've stuck it in the net so again I've never seen it. Paolo Di Canio though.
