Saw that just now. Ridiculous amount of money on a defender that can't defend!!

Considering they failed FFP sort if makes a mockery of the fact they can still spend this money. Did they not get same punishment as City on terms of net spend and wages? If do that's one transfer has surely wiped out any other deals?!

Put it this way, if it's real and not complete fantasy it means at least 3 players will be sold to make it work

Mourinho was already going to have a large budget to work with- and now he's got £40million more to work with.

Rodgers has to work some really wonderful magic to keep things even... let alone close the gap... although we finished above Chelsea, we've not really got the squad or first XI that Chelsea has.

But....have we got better team unity/spirit without all the prima donnas like Luiz ? It got us up there this year and I believe we will be there again but , I agree, we do really really need to make this summers transfers count unlike BRs last two.

If he's worth £40m we hould be able to get a fair chuck for Skrtel or Agger <whistle>

Wonder if they need one of them as well? £30m should be enough to sell

Better strategy and better morale/team spirit definitely is why we beat Chelsea this year. Can't guarantee it next year though.

Wonder if PSG will be selling anyone off to pay for Luiz- if they HAVE to sell- we might get a bargain from them (or someone might).

Wisdom starts for Derby, worth watching to see how the lads getting on.

I'll also be keeping a close eye on young Hughes, as he could be one for the future.

Come on Derby - put one over on that crook Redknapp and his vile QPR fans.

Saw Xabi celebrating with his teammates on the pitch wearing a suit, the chavs made up a story about there being a Uefa rule that states that all players suspended or not have to wear a full kit including shinpads to try and cover up Terry's pathetic stunt.

xabi = class act.. terry = lowlife.

in the end.... terry has no morals. thats all there is to it, just like ronaldo celebrating like he won the final for his side having slotted a pen for 4-1 in the last min of extra time... no class, low life...

True, it does seem ridiculous that anyone playing in the Champions League final, the pinacle of club football, would celebrate scoring, particularly if every goal simply compounded the inevitable result and the realisation that you were about to win the biggest trophy in club football. And ofcourse, not forgetting that the final is one game - the culmination of a series of 13 games in a season long competition, in which you've broken records to score 17 times. Yep, the guy's done nothing to celebrate at all tbh

It's not the fact he celebrates... It's the way he did it. Taking his top off and flexing and posing the way he did. Very cringey.
