I have started to see an increasing amount of negativity on these boards as the days creep on and I just wondered: a/ is this not a NEW website or had I accidentally diverted back to the BBC's 606 and b/ have the F.A changed the transfer windown deadline and brought it forward as some people have mentioned "lack of activity" and "being left behind in the transfer market". I am as they say confused.com And yes it should have said Tidal not Todal
It says tidal now. I think some people are just worried because other clubs have started arranging 'pre-contracts' with players etc. but all we've done is lose some players on frees and accepted a bid for Schmeichel. Obviously it means we have a lot to do and Grayson doesn't have a brilliant record so far. I can understand where they're coming from. But like you say, better to wait and see than panic and worry. And unlike some people, I actually don't think Kilkenny, Johnson and Schmeichel were going to get us promoted next season, some new blood in those positions should do us the world of good.
the worrying part is, when we announced a few weeks ago and in fact it was a month ago, Killkeny & Johnson were not being retained by Grayson himself so he could look to replace them and take the club forward. there are a lot of free agents and player who are still attached to other clubs we could be looking at or signing and in a month, or more we are still awaiting any news. Grayson has known for months in reality these 2 were going and should have had a plan in place already. Im not giving up on him or the club, but we do need to see something moving now, especially in light of what looks like will be a goal keeping saga. all that is waiting for is Bates to slag Kasper and his agent off, on yorkshire radio! surely if players have signed contracts with us already, its not rock science the fans are showing unrest as all they have to do is look on twitter and these forums, they should be giving something away now.
Johnson and Kilkenny were very average. I was a bit annoyed Johnson left because he had a good season, but on reflection I'm glad they've both gone. Whilst Howson can be inconsistent, he does have fantastic games, whereas Kilkenny has never put in a match winning performance for us. I'd rather their replacements are thought out transfers, with the right people brought in.
i agree with both of them going, however everyone knew they were going a long time ago they were so its time we knew who was coming in, and they do need to be an improvement. it surely cant be that hard to sign a player can it, especially if un-attached? whether via an agent or not and/or after fee agreed with a club, it must be; club - "we want to sign you for 3 years, on x amout per week, do you fancy it, rememebering we are leeds united and looking to step back up a league?" player - "yeh sure, i just want another couple of grand a month and im there, god that bates is a tight cnut these days!" club - "ok meet you in the middle with the money provding your fit? medical and sign tomorrow afternoon?" player - "yep that sounds good to me, ok whats you post code for my satnav, i cant read maps so wouldnt find thorpe arch?" club - "i'll text it too you, see you at 9 am tomorrow!" next day following a medical and signing of the contract, and announced on the website; player - "i love leeds united, ive grown up always keeping an eye on the leeds results, im happy to sign and have always been a fan." done deal? cant be far wrong can it?
He does have a plan in place. The one and only solitary reason we haven't heard any of it is because, as per, Grayson and Bates like to keep their business as their business. They tell us time and again that they keep their business under wraps until something actually happens because otherwise you end up with lots of **** being stirred. If you hear rumours straight from the horses mouth and then they fall through, you start to question the horses integrity. I mean, we are already questioning their integrity, but that's not the point.
why do they do the opposite with the players we are getting or trying to get rid of? i think most of us would have been happy to let them do what they need in private, until the Kasper anouncement. as is stands Kasper knows he's not wanted, however he also knows he doesnt have to go anywhere if he doesnt want to. they should have ancounced it after he signs for them thats if he does along with us anouncing his direct repalcement. the club have a knack of letting all of us fans down at times
Keep their business, their business…that’s contrary to the reports from Bates and Grayson discussing the possibility of Woody and Smithy. Generally they just ignore gossip mongering and wait until we sign someone before we have a Scooby whats going on so why the change of decision? Also why disclose that they have accepted a bid and it’s the right thing and then for Kasper to have to come out and state he didn’t want to leave but it was pressured. Why right now at this time? The offer has come in BUT the deal is not done? Putting bad blood between the current employee and the fans.
The only worry i would have is we need all our new players signed up as soon as it was legally possible. The new players need to gell and understand the systems that managment have for the new season and of course how to understand the accents lol.
Not gunna get alot better i fear? me i just waited to see which forum liw was going to join then make my choice.... bye!!!!!!
