1) No club who have been managed the way they have should succeed. The team that breaks FFP is the team that goes up - what message does that send out? The only way that FFP will ever have any teeth is if it means docking points or denying promotion, but that will never happen. It will be used aggressively against some poor team from League 2 on some occasion (to prove that the football administrators mean business) but the big money boys will just be allowed to waltz around it and do what the hell they want.

    2) Derby look like an up-and-coming club and a strong opponent next season. If QPR hadn't won, they might have gone into a tailspin.

    3) We are a bit of a bogey team to QPR. We always did well against them and Barnsley, and both of these teams have gone from the Champ. On the other hand, the league is full of teams who are bogeys for us (Sheff Wed, Fulham, Wolves, etc). If we are going to get back up, we're going to have to break a few of those bad runs.

Their wage Bill is supposedly higher than Athletico Madrids and they are €190M in debt. I wonder if they have learned their lesson from last time.

bogey teams don't exist all in your mind

QPR deserve their day the team played well to deny Derby after going down to 10, if they have broken rules they will get away with it but in the long term they will implode again amd must be nailed on favs to come straight back down with Villa and WBA

Yes your right, Derby bottled it when it mattered and qpr deserved the win for taking advantage of their poor display....

We also did well against Derby last time round.

Beat them 2-1 away and who can forget NA's passion and outburst when we beat them 3-2 at home in almost the last action of the match and Carrow Road seeing such joy and euphoria with fans hugging each other etc, etc!!! <cheers>

I wonder if 'wolves' will be circling some of their young starlets now they've not won promotion??

Back to the OP. I feel the only way to get clubs to adhere to the 'FFP' is to dock them points or ban them from promotion. It may well happen in the lower leagues, but no way would it happen to the team going into the PL.

I'm pretty sure that Leicester have also broken the limits allowed by FFP so it will be interesting to see how both clubs will be dealt with! When it comes to FFP on another level, how is it that PSG can go,and spend €50 Million on Luis from Chelsea? I thought they were being punished for breaking FFP or is that on a parallel universe!

Very true max and lets not forget QPR have loads of dosh to get in all the good players, without them in the Championship we stand a better chance of getting the players we want!

QPR are exempt from FFP for a season as you will be this season.

There is a season window for clubs to get their house in order and comply, that is why QPR had to up this season as it would have been meltdown time next season.

The BBC article I read on FFP seemed to strongly suggest otherwise.

Sorry, it was your post. From what I understood from the BBC article, QPR would definitely be fined whether or not they won promotion.

Yeah true, I was surprised Chelsea let him go. Lampard is to Chelsea what Gerrard is to Liverpool, a leader and goal scorers.

But QPR do like their older players.
