There's hardly a club in the country that hasn' been in trouble at some time or another. Some are forced into admin to continue to exist, others sell their soul to a rich sugar daddy who thereafter has them by the balls. My point (as it clearly needs explaining to the intellectually challenged) is that QPR have tried to buy promotion and have breached the FFP rules in the process. That's an insult to the clubs in the Championship that play by the rules imo and if you think that I am forbidden from holding that view or from expressing it on my own board because we were in trouble all those years ago then you can **** off and do one.
Grow up. The tenure of my posts are identical so stop trying to stir the ****. How old are you? Care to comment on the thread or not? If so you're more than welcome. If not, sod off.
Agree the circumstances are different but DB has made a point of stating his contempt about a club putting themselves in debt, to chase a dream, when you guys were put in the opposite position by a known con man. Granted the monies involved were poles apart but the principles are the same. Both chased money but QPR are owned by people with mega-bucks who can underwrite any loss. DB has to realise there is a difference between being in debt on paper as a subsidiary than being broke as a single entity.
There is no god. QPR score The con man didn't put us in difficulty. We did. We didn't have the bums on seats to support the outgoings unfortunately. Nothing to do with "chasing money" or "chasing a dream" we were on the bones of our ass and trying to survive so get your facts right. The QPR situation is a million miles away and you know it so stop trying to point score.
I'm 25 and 3 quaters I'm taking the Dragonborn attitude and advising you, ever so courteously that this, is an open forum
But there loss is not for the current season, it relates to the previous season, they are speculating about losses for the current season as their accounts for the current year have not yet been produced. They may well still be in breach and will be punished accordingly. You posted a comment and added a little extra but my comments are still valid. On topic, I hope Derby go up.
Now that is confusing, indeed I must be intellectually challenged, so Petty was in it for the goodwill? Bollox, I wanted Derby to go up.
The only thing we were chasing at the time was survival. the guy was a con man and the club wasnt sold on the pretense that he would invest 100's of millions, it was thought he would help keep the club alive. I just dont think you can compare the millions owned in chasing the PL to having to take the cva because a club was duped by a con man. More fool us for not invetigating him properly. What QPR have done (congrats to them for their win even though I detest their club) Is throw money after money in an attempt to get to the PL, which they have now done at the expense of well run and dbt free clubs.
Not worthy of a response taff so stop trying to provoke. **** off please after first reading tlf's post which I echo. Sadly, QPR will take one of the spots vacated by Cardiff and this coming season I may actually go into the jaws of hell and take that trip. Never been to LR. On the bright side Derby are a better side than Cardiff so that'll cause a problem for them hopefully. Zamora has never been Prem quality and never will be.
But that's my point Trundle, QPR are a loss making subsidiary of a bigger entity. Same as Man Utd and Man City. What they are doing is wrong according to the FFP rules. Petty was out to make money, out of a football club, but didn't have the clout nor it seems the brains to pull it off. But under the name of Swansea city he tried and your name will always be linked to bad money managment until The Hollywood movie debuts at least Edit: this is nothing to do with the CVA.
So let's see...we're not supposed to comment on QPRs financial management on our own board because of our own financial mismanagement years ago yet a Cardiff fan criticises our financial management when his own Club is up to its eyes in debt at this very moment? Is that irony or hypocirisy?
Our credit rating is clean, no debt, nothing on our record, (bankruptcy lasts 6 years??) what happened 11 years ago is now pretty irrelevant. Cardiff on the other hand, their credit rating is through the floor
I do get what you are saying but for me the obvious difference is, we were taken in by a con man who tried to rip us as a club and supporters off the club themselves didnt spend the money trying to achieve promotion. However I do agree our club was run poorerly even before Petty's arrival.Tony Fernandes and Qpr are intentionally running up huge debts hoping to get to the PL. That cant be right. Whilst other championship clubs try to run their clubs correctly.
I think he's deliberately trying to point score tlf. There is no comparison. What happened to us didn't affect other clubs just us. Back in those days the only thing we were chasing was survival. QPR have taken the place of a club that has been run properly and within the rules. It's outrageous, and I don't have to apologise to a Cardiff fan for saying that on my own board.
