Good wishes, Shola. An unusual 21st century footballer - humble and decent. Incredible to think that he played for the club under Sir Bobby, Carver, Souness, Roeder, Pearson, Allardyce, Pearson, KK, Hughton, JFK, Shearer, Hughton and Pardew - throughout all those turbulent years, he was there as a steadying influence. Not a great footballer, but a great presence and character.

Yes, what you could call a great clubman.

Maybe not the best, but faithful and loyal.

He saw 12 managers go, pity he couldn't have seen the thirteenth go.

I knew he'd scored more goals against Sunderland than any other team, but hadn't realised that next up was Middlesborough. He really liked his derbies did Shola!

PS: I think it's safe to say that this graphic will be the only time in my life I see Accrington Stanley just above Barcelona.

The fact that even Shola wants out, shows that things at NUFC are probably worse than we thought.

Yes, I'm afraid they can. Ashley can change the strip to the colours of SD and the team name out of pure spite. I'd be surprised if he hasn't thought of it. And you'd still get docile people ringing up Total Sport wondering what the fans are whingeing about.

Sports Direct United playing in red white and blue. How very patriotic.

Ashley can't change the name of the team.

As well documented the owner of Hull City tried that and failed.

I went with the intention of signing up on the 5 year deal
problem is, that they want paying by direct debit, I've always paid by cash
I said my son does not have a bank account to arrange a direct debit, nor can he legally enter into such an arranement at his age (15)
they say I have to pay for his ticket and the costs would be coming from my bank account
(even though this agreement would take him up until he's 20 year old, which is beyond the age where I'm legally responsible for him)
I then said to them, this has a no opt out clause, they agreed

so I said that as I would be signing up for the 5 year deal with no opt out clause and
I expect to pay the same amount for my sons ticket in 5 years time as the price stated on his form
because there was no price difference shown on his letter to say the cost would go up as he reaches different age bands,
they said no the price would go up
I said how can I agree to that, when there was no indication of what the cost may be in 3-4 years time for my sons ticket
I have no opt out clause but they can change the costs when they want

they then said that I would have to pay yearly instead, at the incresed fee of an extra £47 per season for my sons ticket to what the 5 year deal was
and pay extra when he reaches different ages

I just turned round, said sorry to my son and threw my forms up in the air and left

this non-opt out clause cannot be legally binding as there is no mention
of what happens if you cannot attaend the games due to ill health, disability or heaven forbid, passing away

    They're screwing us.

I'm on the 10 year deal and whilst they don't put up the frozen ticket price.... they have been hiking the compulsory 'membership' every year... again another con as what I pay each year continues to go up.
