I tell a lie. I do care. I would find it rather hilarious if we sold Schmeichel to them for £1.5 mill, got Westwood on a free then proceeded to get automatic promotion whilst Leicester spend obscene amounts of money and still fail to make the playoffs again. And then Sven jumps ship to sign for some mid table italian league team.
There's a difference between selling because you feel you have to and selling because you think it's a good deal and you can get someone better in.
Apparently Grayson and phil brown have had talks. Rumour has it it's about taking lonergan. His own team mates call him flapergan. Make of that what you will
Must say, I've only ever heard good things about Smithies. He's part of the reason the dog botherers always seem to do us over; I think he'd be a worthy replacement. By God, they won't let him leave on the cheap though. Lonergan thing doesn't sound good but I think the reports of Brown/Grayson's meeting and Lonergan to Leeds are separate. The Lonergan rumour comes from The People, which I refuse to believe any rumour from, and there were also allegations of Paynter going to Preston so that could explain the meeting.
The Scottish Sun are reporting that we've made a £1.5m bid for Fraser Forster: http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sco...3651055/Leeds-bid-to-grab-Fraser-Forster.html
What the **** do newspapers mean when they say a club is "preparing a bid"? Just counting out all the five pound notes one by one and loading them into the wheelbarrow ready to be pushed up to Newcastle?

Westwood's signed for Sunderland, now there's a surprise. I hear you're in for Rachubka(he's on a free, you're obviously not really bidding £1.5m for anyone)
At least you've managed to sign one keeper, you signed Eric Grimes from Ringmahon Rangers yesterday. You might have to wait a while for his début though.
http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....eeper_better_than_schmeichel_matteo_1_3511144 Good article by Mattio, he sums up Kasper Schmeichel quite well - "To give Schmeichel his due, some of his saves were outstanding but his all-round game is still to develop. Given the choice, I’d always take a reliable keeper who does the basics very well over one who has the ability to make top-class saves but who suffers from obvious flaws." The lastest we've been linked with are Alex Smithies from Huddersfield and Lee Grant from Burnley. I don't really know about either of those, but considering Smithies is younger, and more expensive, I think that would be risky.
